Personally before I plan any lesson I chek it in the yearly planning and in the exit profile especially for the 2nd year because we don't have enough time with them , 2 hours a week , I prefer to teach them only what's in the programme and what they really need .

THIS YEAR 3MS PUPILS KNOW THE PRESENT PERFECT THEY HAD IT LAST YEAR IN FILE 5.SO?WE CAN USE THE TEXT WITHOUT FOCUSING ON PRESENT PERFCT

Forget about the book and find in te net or in any bboks things that are useful for your purpose and function. follow the new distrubutions and do anything that fits the new syllabus.

you work for the Algerian State and no one asked you to forget the book , it's an official docment and the source of teaching and the documents that you reeived this year in your school prove that
You can have serious problems if they find you neglecting the this manual
Yes we have SOme freedom to Adapt what does not serve our learners but the neglect the book and you Ask the teachers to do so is not something that I advise you to do Sir

Concernng Teaching the present perfect :
In MS2 it should be Taught without any adverbs
fr example : I have learnt English / I have been in ALgiers .......
for MS3 :
Here the present perfect wotht he adverbs ( since / for)
For MS4
It is taught wit all the adverbs listed in teh curriculum

well this file is a bit large since it is adapted with file 5 food of the MS1
so I tackled it as follow
I satrted with inquring about one's health + giving advice ( Should + must)
then introducing food since it is the first time the learners see this ( please do not follow that yealry planning which stattes that is expansion , ) File 5 was omitted from MS1 syllabus ( according to the slimming of the syllabus Jne 2008) and this new slimming is made in the one of June 2008
so learners need to know food + quantity + how much /how many
after this I will tackle advising healthy food ( ideal men...... coz the learners need to know the way to advise using the model ( should )
This is my idea and you can do better

Let me clarify sthg : in the doc 'allégement du prog' it is mentioned that the present perfect is not to be taught with the learning objective 'ask and answer about someone's career . ask and answer about someone's career as stated in 'allégement 2008 is to be supported by the present perfect . the present perfect simple should help introduce the idea of past actions with indefinite time( past actions with present results) , then linked to the learning objective ' ask and answer about someone's past activities , just to introduce the contextof communication for a given real situation .e.g :' I have gone to Tipaza - Really! when did you go there? ,- Last Friday .My family and I were there , too...You can do the same with I have seen a film / I have broken my leg / I have done some physical exercise / I have read a tale about . It's a pity the questions you are raising need to be debated during training sessions. You also found that you can fall in the trap of teaching grammar for the sake of grammar. You have in your possession the Algerian English Framework and you know that the level of performance for the learners is stated with all three ( five in Carlos's doc)communicative competencies .think of what learners can understand/ produce .. with mistakes at the beginning ( level 1 and 2/MS1 and MS2.

No one asked those teachers to neglect the books, no one told them to set their own books
and I challenge them to show the official document that asks them to neglect the book
I have siad that many times the New SLimminng is to make things easier for both teachers and ;learners but SOme Inspectos who did not understand the new reocmmendations during the meeitng of Blida sepetember 2013
they told them :
1- Pupils will do one PROJECT work ( the final prodcution of the file ) in a term
2- Innstead of writign on the board "Listen and speal / discover the ******** .... teachers write
The first hour :
Project ( they chose and ask their pps to work ) the title of the project + explain them how to do that 9 set the groups and their pedagogy + how to do that ? where to collect the information ? and how to deliver that the final out come...
2- then they write FIle + title
Lesson ( titile = the learning objectives of the lesson < function + grammar>
the next hours
teachers write only : Lesson 2 ( learning objectives of the lesson)
There is problem in the yearly planning whic does not go with the curriculum ( what teachers recieved in their school the 4 booklets ) and the books
we got osme clarificaitons from the ones who made that yearly planning specially about the Present perfect and I showed u what they said about that
So relax and work as you used to do coz there are no books , no new books we have to deal with what we have and make things easier for us and our learners

When I say new books , I mean to set up the lessons in the order the slimming down is done because as I said before some parents try to follow their kids but they can't because they don't understand how the slimming was done .Not only in English but there are other subjects concerned too .For example , if the learners want to reinforce and practise more the lesson of food ( file 3 , 2nd year ) they won't find the lesson in the 2nd year book .
So , I prefer to set up new books to omit what should be omitted and put what should be put .

That's true Mr. Riyad .And this is what I wanted to say before .I do believe that we still use the books but according to the new changes , we are most of the time preparing our own listening and reading scripts according the the
learning objectives and the exit profile to adapt .so , by the end of this year , every teacher will have his own support which may be different from another teacher's .For the 4th year , we still use the books but for the 2nd year , I am preparing new dialogues and short texts which fit the objectives and the yearly distribution .

الاخت إلهام، كل ما عليك فعله هو ان لا تبدئي العمل في الحصو الاولى التي تكون عبارة عن تعارف، تحضير الادوات، الحديث عن الدراسة وطرق الاجتهاد الى غير ذلك.
الحصة الثانية تكون عبارة عن تقديم الحروف بنوعيها small- capital ثم الفقر بينهما ومتى نستعمل الحروق الكبيرة وناكد على ضرورة كتابتها في الاسم العلم وعلى وجه التحديد في الاسم واللقب. ونبدا بكتابة اسمناء التلاميذ وكل واحد يكتب اسمه مع التركيز على التهجي spelling
وهمذا تنتهي الحصة الثانية. الحصة الثالثة الاختبار التشخيصي. حيث يكون على شكل ملأ اسامارة معلومات مثلا للسنة الثانية كالتالي:

place of birth
nationality:
occupation:
من خلالها تحددي نقائص أغلب التلاميذ. سوف تلاحظين ان معظمهم مثلا خطه سيئ غياب capital letters في الاسماء العلم
أخطاء املائية .. إلخ.
بناء على النتائج تحددين المهام مثلا تجعلي التلاميذ يعتنون بالخط من خلال جعلهم يكتبون فقة صغيرة يوميا في البيت.
اعادة كتابة اسمائهم عدة مرات لتفادي الخطأ.
التركيز على تمرينات الكتابة واستعمال الالوان لتحديد الخطوط الكبيرة.
بداية لااسبوع الثاني تبدئين بالدرس الاول مثلا ويجب ان تقللي المعلومات لكي لا يضيع التلاميذ يعني وحدة وحدة.

Mr. Obou Aboud , I'm still waiting for the new books if there are of course .Normally and logically there should be new books since there were changes in the programme (last year ).We , teachers , we can work according the new programme because we have the yearly distributions but learners can't prepare or find what they need and parents can't follow their kids , too .
I hope we'll hear some good news very soon .

الامر بسيط جدا لا تعطي له كل هذا الحجم. كن صارما منضبطا في حضورك وفي علاقاتك مع التلاميذ. بما انك لاول مرة تدرس فعليك بالتحضير الجيد. لا يمكن أن تقدم درسا دنما تخطيط. حمل من النت التوزيع السنوي وحاول فهمه جيدا. حمل المذكرات واعد قراءتها وفهمها. قسم وقتك حتى لا تضيع في كثرة الشرح خصوصا مع تلاميذ السنة الاولى. بسط دروسك. لا تتكلم بسرعه. لا تقلق من عدم تجاوب التلاميذ بل يجب ان تشعرهم انك صبور وتساعدهم على تجاوز العقبات.
من جان المناهج يوجد لدى المدير كتب فيها شرح وافي للمنهاج والاهداف منه وهو بالعربية، الفرنسية والانجليزية. يستحسن طبعا أن تقرأ بالاتنجليزية حتى تطور مهاراتك خصوصا وان مقدم ان شاء الله على حياة عملية طويلة في هذا المظمار.

Welcome to the our group .
For the lessons of "sress" they are omitted from the programme of the 1st and the 2nd year .
You have to check the new changes happened in 2013 / 2014 (last school year )
To began with the first year , we have a pre file in which we introduce some lessons like : the alphabet , days of the week , months of the year , ... .
Draft the yearly distribution 2013 / 2014 and try to understand it very well to avoid mistakes that let you waste time .
Use the yearly distribution and take only what you need from the book of the first year .
If you want to change some activities and prepare yours , do it but you have to keep the objectives of the lessons
The most important think you have to know is that you must know what you are doing , I mean , you have to prepare yourself and your lessons before you begin your class. You have to set you objectives and prepare all the steps to achieve them .Learners should trust you and believe that they are learning with you because you know what you are doing and what you want them to do .

Concerning the lessons Mr.allgerianpatron , it depends on the directions of your inspector .You have to ask teachers of English who work with you .
Before the changes of last year , there were three squences in each file .But from last year , they asked us to work with projects , not files .Each project contains some lesssons .And you prepare your lessons according to the objectives .Don't worry , it's not really difficult , but you have to ask the teachers of English who work with you or in the other schools in your region .
Concerning the TD sessions , Yes , you are free to prepare different activities you find useful for your learners .During the TD sessions , we try to reinforce the weaknesses of our learners . So , You can prepare any activity which helps your learners improve their level and fulfil their needs .
I hope you'll find it easy to work .Just you have to work in collaboration with your team .

المدكرات :they are lesson plans you prepare before you come to school and teach your learners .Each lesson has got an objective .In the lesson plan , you'll set the objective and different steps and activities you follow to reach it .There are a lot of examples of lesson plans in this Forum ( in the previous pages ).Check you'll find all what you need .
الدفتر اليومي : le cahier journal / The diary book You can buy it ready and only fill it with information about the lesson you are going to teach , The date , the hour of the lesson and the class , .I mean you write what you plan to do the next day .If you want to prepare one by yourself , you can do it .
And there is the log book (le cahier de texte).Whenever you finish your lesson , you write on the part of English the activities you did with your learners (the number of the activity , the page if it is taken from the book ) and if it is your own activity , you write the instruction of the activity and it's objective .
Normally the inspectors will do meetings to the trainees to train them and of course you have to contact other experienced teachers who will help you .And you can attend lessons when you are free to learn more and follow the steps of teaching .And then , you'll find it easy to create your own techniques in presenting a lesson .
Don't forget that "" Practice makes perfect "

the model sheet you suggested is the old one we used to deal with while dealing with the communicative approach
now we deal with CBA, your lesson must be conform to it and teachers must see where the 3 IIP must be applied and the other column is for VAKT ( vsual aids) it.s very important to teachers to be aware where and when to use the appropriate aid
and before the lesson plan there must be a guided sheet which will show what exactly the teacher will do

There is no problem to unify a lesson plan .It's something positive to prepare a common lesson plan but every teacher must know what he / she is doing .Sometimes , we are obliged to change steps of our lessons plans according to the needs of our learners .
Some learners are quick others are slow .So , you can prepare a common plan but we have to understand the objective of each step .

according to the new syllabus they have only 2 hours per week thus if you present 3 lessons you will be late
so i think that you can teach
listen with an activity of pronounciation
read and write with grammar
if you notice that is not sufficient you can use the td hours for more practise also the weekoe integration

yes you are right coz the manuals must be printed according to the New slimming down and normally according to the slimming of June 2009 but nothing done
so what I advise you to do is to pay attention at the tables where the lessons are omittted or combined and you teach as you used to teach

do not think in Sequence because it does not work with us in English , the teachers of French because they have one learning objective that serve the same goal for the whole sequence which is not our case in one page we find mire than two learning obijectives
what to do is to think in LESSONs and a lesson os PPU or PDP

For Td sessions ,you remediate the weaknesses you notice during the lessons
for example you see that your learners have problem in punctuation , so in TD you work on that , just focus on group works , songs , games while dealing with that

I agree with the group and pair work in the Td sessions .The learners help one another or each other .And as we all know , some learners can understand from their friend better than from their teachers because they use all the ways of explaining and they use their mother tongue .They can ask their friends all the kinds of the qqs. that come in their minds But for the 4th year learners , I tried another way of working last year and it was successful.I did group work but most of the time , I prepared subjects like the tests , exams and BEM exams and asked learners to work alone .I controled their answers and give marks at the end of the hour , all the learners will see their full marks .
In this way , We could find the weaknesses and try to remediate them .
It worked so well that I am doing the same with the 4th year this year , too.
It can be done with other levels , too from time to time after we fulfil their needs .

hi ! i would like to draw your attention to the fact that correcting copybooks should not be done the wrong way most teachers do by giving remarks ( good/ seen/ underline/....etc) in fact ,as teachers we need to show the learners their mistakes using symbols p= punctuation
s= spelling
c= capital letter
vt= verb tense
wo= word order
#=space between words needed
pl=plural
etc.....just underline the mistake in their copybooks and write the appropriate symbol on the margin. and let them correct them by themselves. ..............good luck.

Concerning the marks , believe me , we can't do anything with the learners of the 4th year .If we really want to get good results with the 4th year learners , we have to take great care of these learners from the 1st year .We have to follow them and their learning .We have to fulfil their needs whenever we find some weaknesses . We can take enough time to let them speak and write .Then , we have to go on in the same way when these learners are in the 2nd year .And then believe me , they'll work automatically in the third and the 4th years .And when the learners know what they are doing , it's something great .They may find difficulties in some lessons but they'll solve their problems with our help .
As a conclusion , I can say that if we take care of the 1st year learners , these learners will take care of English in the future years .We must only let them believe that all the learners can learn this important ******** and subject easily nd we have to show them that we are present to help them when they need a help .

I guess they needn't to learn, speak or write. the only thing to imporve their marks is to make them eager to get marks and as a headmaster siad" make them pragmatic". how to get high marks regardless thier level. this is what teh syllabus train them to do. make your pupils used to a great number of exams and you'll realise how their marks are good.

والله نحن الاساتدة الجدد تائهون من خلال التوزيع الجديد خاصة السنة الثالثة متوسط . لقد عجزت في كيفية تقسيم objectives الى files and sequences . اردت الدخول الى file 3 لكن الاهداف الموجودة في التوزيع لا تخدم عنوان الملف . اما السنة الثانية فوجدت خلط في الاهداف و files فمثلا give advice /should موجود في files 3 فادا اتبعت التوزيع ادرسه في file 2 . فما العمل. لقد مللت من التيه.

Just delete the omitted lesson in th enew slimming and work as we used to do
try t o adapt the book and for the levels you are teaching there are not big changes

there is one slimmingthat of 2009 and as mr samir said follow the new official syllabus and adapt tasks according to the objective of the jesson dont rely on the school book

To understand the new slimming 2013 you need to understand the One of June 2008 and the yearly planning of 2009
what I advise you is to omit the lessons mentioned in the new slimming 2013 as we did here in our wilaya
if the new yearly planning seems hard for you to apply just try to adapt the manual and the leanring objectives according to you learners needs

concerning the MS3 and the present perfect ; it is taught just with the adverbs "since & for" " and for the MS2 is is taught without adverbs whereas with MS4 iit is seen with all the adverbs

أنا متخرجة بليسانس انجليزية منذ 6سنوات اعمل ضمن عقود ما قبل التشغيل في مجال ادارة وأعمل أساتذة في مدرسة خاصة لتعليم اللغات لكن السعر جد زهيز وأفكر في أن أدرس وحدي لذا سؤالي هو كم ثمن الدروس الخصوصية لمادة اللغة الانجليزية؟ وهل هنالك اقبال من قبل الطلبة؟
في المدرسة التي ادرس فيها هنالك اقبال كبير لكن من قبل الكبار الذين يودون تعلم الانجليزية لأغراض مختلفة فماحال الطلبة؟
أرجوا مساعدتي اخواني انا جديدة في مجال التدريس كما ذكرت سابقا أعمل في مدسة خاصة ولكن عملي مع فئات مختلفة منهم من هم في سني ومنهم من هم أكبر مني بعشرات السنوات أرتبك أثناء التدريس في بعض الأحيان ربما لأنني جديدة في الميدان؟ أرجوكم اذا ممكن اعطائي منهجية اتبعها وطرق تدريس فعالة حتى تسهل علي المهمة واذا أمكن بعض النصائح والله يجازيكم خير

هناك اقبال لكن في المدن الكبرى على غرار عواصم الولايات. طلبة الباكالوريا ايضا والرابعه متوسط بنسة اقل. يدفعون 500 دج للساعه في المدارس الخاصة. يمكنك القيانم بعملية بسيطة وهي حساب عدد الطلفة وعدد الساعات وتقسيمها عليهم في كل فوج 15 تلميذا. وتحددي سعر كل ساعه
