try to go to page 170 of your school book the script about the tourist talking about
the trip to the royal mauritanian mausoleum , read it carefully then try to look for the famous places where you live
and talk about them , just change and modify according to your area , keep the same script but talk about your area
form very simple sentences and you will get a great composition
for example here in Medea I asked my learners to talk about a famous place ( Amir Abldekader House) and here is the composition:

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen.I hope you will enjoy your excursion with a visit to Médéa. Our trip will be to the House Of Emir Abdelkader which is in the center of Médéa .We will start from Algiers. On our way we will visit Blida which is between Algiers and Médéa .First we'll stop at the 'Citadel ' where you can admire the beautiful Mountains of "Chiffa" and their waterfalls .It's also famous for its 'monkeys " , they are very interesting animals to see.Then we will arrive to Médéa which is a mountainous city .It is very antique city .It was built during th e'Turks' .When we get into the middle of the city , you are going to see the city of Médéa .Later we will get into the House of Emir Abdelkader.It's a very wonderful city which still witnesses the History of Algeria.After that we will come back to Algiers , on our way we will stop at "Alhamdania" and have some 'Méchoui" there.It a very famous place for its dish……

How to apply Bloom's taxonomy in a grammar lesson?
Well to achieve this we need to apply the PIASP teaching method.
so the P= Presentation<Presenting the context in which the structure appears> ( for example using the script page 170 -where the time conjunctions- where they are written in bold ( I wish all the scripts were elaborated like that this will facilitate the teachers' work to apply PIASP )
so you ask your learners to read the script in order to make them notice the words written in bold ( so here your learners will deal with the first Bloom's taxonomy category (knowledge = defines, describes, identifies, knows, labels, lists, matches, names, outlines, recalls, recognizes, reproduces, selects, states.) where they will define and identify the conjunctions since they have seen some of them before .
the Aim here is to make the learners see the structure ( form & meaning ) in context.
2- Isolation : the focus is temporarily on the grammatical item itself and the aim is :to get the learner perceive & recognize the grammatical item what it looks like and this goes also with the second category of Bloom's taxonomy ( comprehension where your learners will be able to infer, interpret, paraphrase, predict, rewrite, summarize,.
3- Analysis: Here you will try to make ur learners analyze the isolated items the aim is : to get your learners perceive how it is formed ( structure), how it functions and what it means and the rule that govern it.This has a great link with the fourth category Analysis" ( Blomm's Taxonomy) where your learners will be able to nalyzes, breaks down, compares, contrasts, diagrams, deconstructs, differentiates, discriminates, distinguishes, identifies, illustrates, infers, outlines, relates, selects, separates.
4- Stating Rule : Here after they analyze you help them to formulate the grammar rule .And this what Bloom called "Synthesis" where the learners are able to Build a structure or pattern from diverse elements. Put parts together to form a whole, with emphasis on creating a new meaning or structure through the following key words "reconstruct, relate, reorganize, revise, rewrite, summarize, tell, write.
5- Practice : This is achieved through three (3) type of tasks
a- Based form task : Mechanical manipulation < focus only on the form >
b- Meaning based task : Focus is on meaning
c- Communicative based task : ( emphasis is on transmitting message)

So this last stage has a great link with what Bloom named Application: Use a concept in a new situation or unprompted use of an abstraction. Applies what was learned in the classroom into novel situations in the work place.

So the PIASP is the ideal way to teach grammar item according to Bloom's Taxonomy .

Here is what the British did in Ourgla about teaching receptive skills ( you can find all the information about that training in Miss Imane Zitouni's report )

Trainer started by the KWL (Know – Want – Learn ), trainees said what they Know about the receptive skills such us Reading/Listening - senses- emotion – to hear- comprehension – understanding – guessing – predicting – scanning and skimming. They were asked to talk about what they Want to know from the workshop such us Vocabulary – how to teach the receptive skills – the types of activities – kind of questions – strategies – methods and ways – teachers tasks and learners role. At the end of the lesson , trainer asked the trainees what they learnt (Learn) : how to teach the receptive skills – the purpose – the steps- new vocabs – strategies – how to motivate learners – how to link the CBA to our skills.
Trainer demonstrated a lesson from second year book (2AM) ,the text of Djuha’s story , he asked the trainees to draw a small house, a grand-father , a grand-mother, a father , a mother, six children and a goat. She asked them if it is possible of this big family to live in a small house.This was like a warm up to the lesson. The trainer gave the trainees the handouts containing the text , and then he wrote on the board words and he asked the trainees to say to what do they (the words)refer ?. As in each activity, the trainees worked in groups and gave their answers.
Three steps should be followed when preparing a receptive skill lesson : Pre- reading/listening:
• Set the scene.
• Prediction.
• Vocabs. While reading/listening:
• Set Extensive task.
• Read / listen
• Discuss answers in groups
• Feedback.
• Set intensive task.
• Read/listen again.
• Group discussion.
• Feedback. NB: the extensive and the intensive tasks should be done together , they are complementary
Post reading/ listening: set a role play , discussion , writing ....etc.

This is what the British are doing for many years here in Algeria

Now here what I personally do in teaching Receptive Skills ( I tackled this last year with my colleagues in my wilaya ,it's a hand out that can be printed and given to the teachers )
- In this document i tackled how we as Algerian teacher can teach this receptive skill ( listening) according to the Algerian manuals.

Really I don't have any idea but be sure of one thing ( Normally) it should have a great link with the topic of the text
what ever is the written expression study well your text , analyze it and normally the activities of the Exam serve the pupils in their final production
so just relax , take your time , use the draft, and make very simple sentences ,
You must respect the Format of your writing ( letter- dialogue-.....)
the organization of you production ( opening sentence < sentence that contains the general idea of your writing> , the supporting ideas , the conclusion....

1.topic: i think the topic of news and Internet is not focused on in the syllabus of the fourth year
2 There are some fused sentences
3.the situation of intrgration doesn't exist , there is a written expression of the old method.in addition, the word 'online" could have been replaced by '" Internet" so as to make it easier understanding the topic

1-Not disappointed ..rather shocked and offended :The whole year we bit ourselves telling stuedents they WILL have this and that type of question,this and that scale ,and in the end we were DECEIVED AND BETRAYED!!! SLAPPED in the face ...2-Why testing frequency (which was tought not in 4th or 3rd but second and first years!!!)...3"ONLINE"...who in hell is supposed to know the meaning of such a word! maybe they think everyone has a PC and has access to internet,why not using the word INTERNET simply, instead!!!!4-"different=separate",the latter word is a "passive" word as we say in the jargon,why testing it?They could've tested others that has a link to the comprehension of the text!!!!!....5- Again....the paragraph was a MASSACRE,nor the instruction was clear,nor the hints were helping.....THEY KILLED US ,both teachers and pupils ....the effort of a whole year if not 4 was vain

i was the first to say that the BEM english paper was a disaster. it has nothing to do with the official exam guide.
the text is not at the kevel of our teenagers who are not interested in news at all but only on games, songs and films. moreover , there mustn't be WHQ.
the exercise of what do the following words refer to is a task a part. it mustn't be witthin the WHQ.
there must be only 3 activities in masterry of ********
concerning the situation of integration which wasn't one, discouragd the best pupils to write

@Fidaa: I totally forgot about the WhQ,indeed ,the students were told to have only Yes/No questions(according to the damned guide!),yet they got something else...........and you're right about the number of activities assigned and also the scale,so far English exam has never had themark 0.25!!.......Morale:never trust them!!

your question is great
the difference with the new system the field of teaching English is larger and wilder than the previous one
to give you a very simple idea in the previous approach we used to deal with one learning objective
e.g: Narrating past events ( using simple past tense) we used to deal
with such learning objective during the whole week about 4 to 5 hours whereas now we deal with it in one seance the field was limited
in the previous approach.
another thing to say about the new approach ( CBA) Competency Based approach involves the previous one ( Communicative Approach)
i.e, the communicative approach is the CORE of the CBA which aims to use the ******** in a real life situation through a problem solving situation which is more motivating for the learners
You can have detailed explanations about the approach and the difference between the two teaching systems in the Booklets entitled ( Programme D'Anglais & Document D'accompagnement)
You will find them in your school Library
this is just a brief idea about what you asked for

for the MS2 , you can set one ( there is no official diagnostic test) just focus on the Learning objectives ( functions and grammar + pronunciation ) of the MS1 during the first week of the school year

well for the copy book
It would be better to train the learners form the beginning of the school year on an auto-correction way
you set a code like follows

spel: spelling
gr: grammar
puntuc: punctuation
capit: capital letter

and so on

so when you correct you mention that kind of mistakes and your learners will correct on the margins

by the end you write a remark dealing with the type of mistakes that your learners are dealing with advising them to take care

about :

1- hand writing
2- organization
3- spelling

Those are just idea you can do better

well first relax , you are the teacher and your learners need you

just start from the first page of this forum , download all the documents and also the lesson plans of the levels you are teaching
to have practical idea just I will answer in brief some of your questions
1- when you plan a lesson you must be respect the learning objectives ( official program) you will find that on the book the pages that look like "yearly planning"
2- there is no ******** without grammar , DO NOT GIVE DETAILED GRAMMAR LESSON, , grammar is deduced through PIASP teaching method and of course there is a stated rule DEDUCED by the LEARNER then you consolidate with three 3 type of tasks
3- I wonder how you can give two lessons in one seance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4- for the tasks on the book they can use their pencils to answer to SAVE TIME and make them copy at home WHAT IS IMPORTANT

Lesson focus / Guided sheet + lesson plan you will find sample of al the levels on this forum's page
the guided sheet contains all the details that your lesson will deal with
1) learning objectives ( function & grammar)
2) vocabulary
3) pronunciation
4) visual aids
5) aspect of culture
6) SWBAT ( S= general aim of your lesson

these features must appear in your lesson focus

then you move to your lesson plan and this depends on the type of lesson PPU or PDP

congratulations for the post and welcome to the family

well first you have to know and all the new teachers that you are not working for the inspector no for any one

and the documents he asks about are the official ones that you are working with and also the headmaster has the right to ask for too
the documents are :
1)The yearly plannings of the levels you are teaching
2) the dairy book ( cahier journal) and i advise you to set a column fort he observations where you mention how the lesson was this will help you assess your previous lesson and remediate it ( this is called formative assessment)
3) the log book ( cahier de texte) which should be filled like the dairy book just the observation column does not appear there
4) lesson plans and file plans
5) learners copy books ( corrected not ticked , try to set a a method to train ur learners correct themselves their copy books ( you set a code for that ,you mention the mistake and the learners correct on the margin
6) learners' project works
7) training copy book ( the one you use during the meetings and seminars ,,during the debate use it , write the questions , then relax and answer

be cool in class and offer them the chance to express themselves ( even in their mother tongue) this will make them feel confident that they can learn this foreign ********
try to simplify things for them and use the maximum of visual aids ( VAKT) this will make them learn through authentic material

I want to ask you about the TKT test. Here is my situation. I was on a vacation last yea r and here in my town the English teachers were asked to start the TKT courses.. Whene I returned to my work my collegues told me about it and also about the test that they'll pass by the end of this term..So the biggest question here shall I pass it .if yes I have no idea about it. are all the teachers oblged to. and if I don'tdo it ,am I going to put my self in a bad situation. please sir answer me.

it's the first time i hear that normally the British are in charge of that , if you attended that training made by the British , they wil ask you to do it

hi sir. iI'm a secondary school teacher . your lesson plan is really interesting which proves that you are a hard working teacher. I work using almost the same procedures except for the phase while reading where I useactivities graded from general to specific (general idea, ideas of paragraphs, ture or false/ mcq, answering questions, synonyms/ opposites/ definitions, reference words. your work is wonderful i wish you the best

and I agree with you about the type of tasks ( scanning ones )you are dealing just you have to follow the BAC typology it must be applied since the 1AS
