السلام عليكم،
أود في البداية ان اشكركم وارحب بكم
علماء اللسانيات الحديثة يرجحون ان اي شخص يحفظ 100 مصطلح من لغة معينة سيكون بإمكانه فهم 20 بالمئة من الكلام الدي يقال بهده اللغة ولك ان تتصور مادا يمكنك ان تفعله ب3500 كلمة او اكثر
Assalamu alaikum,
First of all, I would like to thank all of you and most welcome. Linguists ( scientists) claim that anyone could learn 100 words of a given langua ge would be able to understand 20% of this langua ge ... so, imagine that you learn 3500 or more ...I mean here that the basis of langauge learning is all about exposure and the vocabulary that you acquire of being exposed to a langua ge.
RULE 1: Always Study and Review Phrases, Not Individual Words
Never study a single, individual word. Never.
When you find a new word, always write down the phrase it is in. Always. When you review, always review all of the phrase... not the word.
Collect phrases.
Your speaking and grammar will improve 4 to 5 times faster. Always write the complete phrase.
Never again study a single word. Never write a single word in your notebook.
Learn Phrases Only.

Hi.
How are you? Are you having a good day? I’m doing fine. Let's get started with Day 2 of your everyday tips.
**RULE 2: Don't Study Grammar
This is your second rule.
Stop studying grammar.
Stop studying grammar.
Right now. Stop. Put away your grammar books and textbooks. Grammar rules teach you to think about English, you want to speak automatically-- without thinking!
With my system, you learn English without grammar study. Your speaking improves quickly. You succeed. You speak English naturally.
So Rule 2 is: Don't Study Grammar!
*The Vital Secret For English Learning Power
In the next post, we will discuss the most important rule for speaking English easily.
Have a great day and continue to improve your English :)
Take Care,
Throw away your grammar books.
Really. I'm serious. Give them to someone else, or throw them in the trash!
Do it now. Today.
I will be so happy to hear your success story!

Hi! This is Ahmed again, with the next post of your 7 Rules Course. I really enjoy posting this and helping you improve English. I see that the participation is increasing. So, I would like to inform you that we’re going to start tomorrow 27th September 2011.
Today is the most important rule.
Most schools ignore it.
**RULE 3: The Most Important Rule-- Listen First
Simple. The rule is listening.
Listening, listening, listening.
You must listen to UNDERSTANDABLE English. You must listen to
English EVERY DAY. Don't read textbooks. Listen to English.
It's simple. This is the key to your English success. Stop reading textbooks. Start listening every day.
**Learn With Your Ears, Not Your Eyes
In most schools, you learn English with your eyes. You read textbooks. You study grammar rules.
You learn English with your ears, not your eyes. You listen 1 to 3 hours every day.
Your speaking improves quickly. You speak English easily
Spend most of your study time listening- that is the key to great speaking.
* The Next Powerful Method
Good luck. I know you can do it.
Have a great day. Enjoy these posts and enjoy your English learning!
Take Care,
P.S: "I have been listening to every lesson I downloaded in my MP3 player for 5 to 6 hours a day. Whenever my boss is not around, I put a headphone on and start listening to them!"

Hi.
It's me again ;) I hope you are feeling good and are enjoying the 7 Rules Course.
Here's rule 4.
**RULE 4: Slow, Deep Learning Is Best
I have a friend who learned a lot of words in a short time. Her learning was short and shallow. That's why she quickly forgot the words. That's why she could not use them.
The secret to speaking easily is to learn every word & phrase DEEPLY.
It's not enough to know a definition. It's not enough to remember for a test. You must put the word deep into your brain.
To speak English easily, you must repeat each lesson many times.
You must learn English deeply.
Learn deeply, speak easily.
Learn deeply, speak easily.
How do you learn deeply? Easy-- just repeat all lessons or listening many times. For example, if you have an audio book, listen to the first chapter 30 times before you go to the second chapter. You could listen to the first chapter 3 times each day, for 10 days.
I hope so my dear friend hfk vsjl, but it's up to you and only you....

Hi. How are you today? Are you having a great day? I’m doing well.
Today I’m back to explain Rule 5. I hope you're enjoying these posts :)
On Rule 2, I told you never to study grammar rules. But, of course, you want to use correct English grammar.
Maybe you are thinking, "How can I learn English grammar if I don't study English grammar rules?"
Well, today I will tell you.
I will teach you a way to learn grammar naturally. Use this method and your grammar will improve automatically. You will automatically use the correct verb tense. You won't think. You won't try.
**Rule 5: A Story
I have a friend who did very well on grammar tests. He knew all of the grammar rules. He knew English verbs.
But He had a problem. He couldn't USE the grammar in a real conversation. He could explain the past tense, but when speaking, he would say "Yesterday I GO to school".
My friend was confused. How could his grammar tests be so good, but his speaking so bad?
He said:
"Before this rule, I knew all the grammar rules, but I couldn't speak correctly. I couldn't feel English grammar. After using point of view stories, I feel it and use it correctly.
Now my grammar is great when I speak. I never think about it, I just automatically use correct English grammar. Thank you!"
My friend learned this grammar naturally. He never studied grammar rules.
How did he do it?
First he listened to a short story in the present tense. He listened to it every day.
Then, he listened to the exact SAME story-- but this time it started with "10 years ago...." He learned to "feel" the past tense by listening to this story.
Next, I gave him the exact same story. This time, it started with "Since 2004..." My friend learned to FEEL the perfect tenses by listening to this story.
Finally, I gave him the exact same story... beginning with "Next year..." He learned to FEEL the future tense simply by listening to this story.
RULE 5: Use Point Of View Mini-Stories
I call these stories "Point Of View Mini-Stories". They are the most powerful way to learn and use English grammar automatically.
Use Point of View Stories for Automatic Grammar
Use Point of View Stories for Automatic Grammar
You must learn grammar by listening to real English. The best way is to listen to stories... told in different times (points of view): Past, Perfect, Present, Future.
How do you do this? Easy! Find a story or article in the present tense. Then ask your teacher or tutor to write it again in the Past, with Perfect tenses, and in the Future. Finally, ask him to read and record these.
Then you can listen to stories with many different kinds of grammar. You don't need to know the grammar rules. Just listen to the Point of View stories and you will improve grammar automatically!
You can also find Point of View lessons and use them to learn grammar automatically.
It is powerful. It is simple. It is successful. You will succeed. You will use correct grammar naturally and automatically.
This is the secret to English grammar.
**How to Learn Real English
In the next post, I will tell you how to avoid textbooks and learn only real English.
I guarantee you will succeed inchallah. Don't quit. You can do it :)
Have a great day!
Good luck with your English learning,
PS: I just want to say thanks again for being here... and I hope you are enjoying this course!
My greatest happiness is hearing my students' success stories. I love when you write and tell everyone you now speak English easily, quickly, and automatically because of this course.
So enjoy this course and good luck with your English learning!
I’m happy to have so many wonderful students like you. You are great and I am very happy to teach you :)
Ahmed

Hi again :) It's me... with another rule!
After this rule I will give you a short exercise to evaluate your level of comprehension and than we will customize our course in accordance with our needs...
I want you to think about something today: You have studied English for years- why do you still have trouble understanding native speakers?
Nothing is wrong with you. Something is wrong with the schools you went to, and the textbooks you used. English textbooks and audio tapes are horrible.
You never learned REAL English.
You learned TEXTBOOK English.
**How To Understand Native Speakers
I had a student who studied English for 4 years in Blida University. Teachers said he was an advanced student.
When he went to the USA he felt good. He was excited to meet Americans. He was ready. He wrote:
"One day I tried to talk to an American woman and everything changed. The woman started talking-- and I couldn't understand her. Not at all!
Her pronunciation was totally different than the textbook tapes and CDs I listened to. She used idioms, slang, and many casual phrases.
I was totally confused. That's when I realized I needed to learn real English!"
**You Must Learn Real English
I taught my student to learn with real English conversations-- learning the English we use every day in conversations, books, movies, TV shows, comic books, audio books, articles, newspapers, magazines, and podcasts.
**Stop Learning Textbook English
If you want to understand native speakers, you must stop learning English from textbooks, tapes and CDs.
To learn real English, you must listen to real English conversations... not to actors reading. You listen to real native speakers speaking real English. You must study real conversations.
Listen only to Real English
Listen only to Real English
Listen only to Real English
How do you learn real English? It's easy. Stop using textbooks. Instead, listen only to real English conversations, movies, TV shows, audio books, articles, stories, and talk radio shows. Use real English conversations.
After 6 months of real English, my student could speak easily. He could understand real English from real native speakers. You will too.
**RULE 6: Only Use Real English Conversations & Materials
You learn English if you want to understand native speakers and speak easily. Use real conversations, magazines, audio articles, TV shows, movies, radio talk shows, and audio books.
Learn Real English, Not Textbook English
Learn Real English, Not Textbook English
**The Final Rule
In the next post, I will tell you the final rule. I will teach you how to speak 2 to 3 times faster.
Until then, have a great day and enjoy learning English!
Good luck,
PS: Now is the time- time to speak English easily, quickly, and automatically. Time to feel strong and happy when you speak English.
Take action. Use these rules to change the way you study English. Whether you study independently or follow my lessons, you must change your actions if you want a better result!
If you continue to study the old ways, you will continue to get the old result. If you aren't happy with that old result, it's time to change the way you learn English :)
Enjoy learning English... and have a great day :)
PPS: I'm going to post the exercise in an hour inchallah, so be there !

Hi. Today is the last rule! Remember, I promised to send you 7 rules. Today is number 7 :)
Today is the last Rule, and it is the easiest:
Most English CDs use "listen and repeat". The speaker says something in English, and you repeat exactly what they said. This method is a failure.
**Rule 7: A Story
Emi, a Japanese woman works with me, had a problem. Her speaking was SLOW. She could not answer questions quickly.
Emi listened to many English tapes and CDs. She listened. She repeated what the speaker said.
Emi asked me. I recommended "Listen & Answer" lessons. I told her not to use "listen and repeat".
I told her to use "Listen & Answer" Mini-Stories.
I told her that "listen and repeat" is not enough-- when you repeat, you only copy the speaker. But when you hear a question and you ANSWER it-- you must think in English.
After using Listen & Answer lessons for just 4 months, her speaking was fast, easy, and automatic.
Emi was excited. She said:
"The lessons are FANTASTIC! I love them. My speaking is so much faster now. I understand quickly and can now speak English without thinking. I can't believe it!"
**RULE 7: Listen and Answer, not Listen and Repeat
Use Listen & Answer Mini-Story Lessons
Use Listen & Answer Mini-Story Lessons
In each Mini-Story Lesson, a speaker tells a short simple story. He also asks a lot of easy questions. Every time you hear a question, you pause and answer it.
You learn to answer questions quickly-- without thinking. Your English becomes automatic.
How can you use Listen & Answer Stories? Easy! Find a native speaker tutor. Ask him to use this method: Ask him to tell a story... and to constantly ask you easy questions about it. This will teach you to think quickly in English!
You can also find Listen & Answer lessons. They will teach you to think quickly in English.
**What's Next?
This is the last rule! How can you continue?
A great way to use the 7 Rules is to follow our lessons and interact and be active. When you use our lessons, you speak English easily, and fast.
Our lessons use all of the 7 Rules.
Thanks for allowing me to teach you.
Have a great day!

You should read the Conversation Dialog ( I will post it after I see some of you have already tried ) to help you study after going through the listening lesson. Do not view the Conversation Dialog prior to listening to the audio, or prior to answering all the questions.

Hi! This is Ahmed again. I'm sorry for the delay; we had a conference today and I had to work overtime. Today I realized that I have to guide you through the tiniest details of the learning process. So, read this article carefully:
You have already proven that you are good at langua ges; after all, you learned Arabic pretty well, didn’t you? If you were able to learn one langua ge, you are able to learn others.
Have you ever considered how you learned Arabic? When you think about it, you realize that you never learned it; you just started using it when you were around two years old. You started with a few words, but rapidly moved to employing whole sentences and communicating fully.
All this happened because you can hear. During your first two years of existence, you heard people talking all around you, and this was the decisive factor for you to start speaking. This is why, if now you want to learn English, you have to hear and listen to it as much as possible.
But, how can you constantly hear and listen to English if you live in a country where the langauge is not spoken fully? In fact, there are many ways to do it.
Radio
No matter where you are, there is always a radio station playing music or talking in English. Just consider the two major international networks: BBC World Service and Voice of America. Both of these have special programs for English learners.
TV
The TV is probably one of the best resources to hear and listen to English, because it offers a visual backup that helps you understand what is being said. Most people now have access to TV with English-speaking channels such as MBC 2, MAC Action; however, I personally advise to watch MBC Persia in order not to read the subtitles; these can be an aid, but you should try to avoid them little by little.
Internet
There are thousands of radio stations on the Internet, and you can also watch all kinds of videos in hundreds of sites. Soon enough, you will have our YOUTUBE channel available on the Web; depends on your desire.
Music/ songs
We don’t have to tell you how much music there is in English. You can listen to music on the radio, TV, Internet, or get some CD’s. Practice writing down the lyrics (songs words), or download them from the Internet to follow while you listen to the song. Start with an easy one, maybe a slow tune, and chose a singer whose voice is clear. Some songs are difficult to understand even for native English speakers.
Movies
Around the world, many movie theaters show movies in English, with subtitles in the country’s langauge. Try to watch a lot of these movies; even if you have to read the subtitles, you are listening to the words in English.
Video
The great advantage of videos is that you can play them as many times as you wish. You can watch and listen to a certain part, or the whole movie, as much as you need to understand the subtitles of what’s being said.
Friends
Try to speak English with your friends who speak the langauge. Here you will practice your speaking as much as your listening, and it is very helpful to hear the langauge from someone who is right there, standing next to you. You can also chat, which is a much more difficult listening exercise than listening in person.
As teachers have most certainly told you in your school, don’t worry if you don’t understand everything you hear. The important thing is that you hear the langauge. Sooner than you think, the understanding will come alone.
P.S: If you have any further suggestions about the best way to learn English, please feel free to share it with us.
PPS: the word (langauge) was written in this article in a wrong way because it is omitted everytime it is written correctly.

Welcome Sara, to improve your English you must follow the instructions I mentioned earlier and we will develop everyday new ways. For Zahra, I meant by the first lesson that you present a lesson for all of us as in teachers' lessons. You prepare something on which all of us should rely. We will participate and help you, it's like if we are your students. Go ahead!
P.S: everyone will get a chance to learn twice i.e to teach

RULE 1: Always Study and Review Phrases, Not Individual Words
أول قاعدة تقول:
دائماً تعلم جمل كاملة , لا كلمات مفردة ,
وهذا ماسنقوم به بإذن الله .
RULE 1: Always Study and Review Phrases, Not Individual Words
Never study a single, individual word. Never.
When you find a new word, always write down The Phrase it is in. Always. When you review, always review all of the phrase,.. not the word.
Collect phrases.
Your speaking and grammar will improve 4-5 times faster. Always write the complete phrase.
Never again study a single word. Never write a single word in your notebook,
Learn Phrases Only.
انك لما تجمع عدد من الجمل فمهارة المحادثة عندك وكذلك القواعد راح تتطور بشكل أسرع من أربع إلى خمس مرات بإذن الله , ولكن تذكر أن تكتب جمل كاملة لا كلمات مفردة !
والقاعدة الثانية تقول:
RULE 2: Don't Study Grammar
Angelina quickly improved speaking-- when she stopped studying grammar. This is your second rule.
Stop studying grammar.
Stop studying grammar
He is a teacher.
هذي جملة تقول هو مدرس , لكن لو نريد أن نسأل هل هو مدرس ؟
فالقاعدة تقول لازم نبدّل بين الفعل والفاعل , بمعنى نبدل بين he و is فلازم نقول :
Is he a teacher?
عموماً موضوع Grammar موضوع ثاني , والدورة اللي حاب نقدمها راح تكون بشكل جمل فقط , بمعنى انه مافيه شيء اسمه بدل الفعل والفاعل وكذا , وراح أوضحها بوقتها بإذن الله.
Right now. Stop. Put away your grammar books and textbooks. Grammar rules teach you to think about English, you want to speak automatically-- without thinking!
بنهاية القاعدة الثانية , من الآن توقف دراسة Grammar !
(Grammar rules teach you to think about English, you want to speak automatically-- without thinking )
القواعد تجبرك على أن تفكر أثناء الحديث , وأنت لما تتكلم المفروض تتكلم بطلاقة من دون تفكير ,
وبصراحة هذا هو المغزى من هذه الدورة !
القاعدة الثالثة تقول :
RULE 3: The Most Important Rule-- Listen First
Listening, listening, listening
Learn With Your Ears, Not Your Eyes
الاستماع لابد أن يكون قبل كل شيء , وتعلم من خلال أذنيك ,لا من خلال عينيك .
عشان كذا الدروس اللي راح نقدمها بإذن الله راح تكون على شكل جمل وملف صوتي يقرأ الجمل , بعد ماتستمع للجمل حاول تقرأها وبعدها تكتبها , وراح نوضح كل شيء وبالتفصيل لاحقاً بإذن الله
RULE 4: Slow, Deep Learning Is Best
The secret to speaking easily is to learn every word & phrase DEEPLY.
It’s not enough to know a definition. It’s not enough to remember for a test. You must put the word deep into your brain.
To speak English easily, you must repeat each lesson many times.
أحد أسرار التحدث بطلاقة هو التعلم بعمق , ومعرفة معنى الكلمة غير كافي كذلك لا تدرس لأجل الإمتحان , لابد أن توصل الكلمة إلى داخل عقلك , وللتحدث بسلاسة , لابد أن تكرر الجمل عديد من المرات.
تلخيصاً للكلام السابق :
Grammar Kills Your English Speaking
دراسة القواعد تقتل التحدث بطلاقة !
Learn Phrases
Don't Study Grammar
Focus On Listening
Learn Deeply , Repeat A Lot
تعلم جمل كاملة.
لا تدرس قواعد نهائياً.
ركز على الإستماع.
تعلم مع التكرار حتى توصل المعلومة بعمق.

Hi. How are you today? I hope you're having a good day :)
Thanks Mota3alim your writing is the least concern for you ...we're trying to improve our SPEAKING skill first.
Well, today I’m writing to help you start the first lesson.
Like most of our subscribers you probably already have the first lesson now, so I want to tell you how to use it.
I’m very excited because soon you will speak English easily, and fast. English words will come out of your mouth-- automatically.
You'll feel relaxed and confident when you speak English. And you'll feel happy when you learn with our lessons. No more sad, boring lessons!
So, how do you use our lessons? Here are some suggestions
Start with the first learning everyday English VOCABULARY.
Listen to all lessons in the set every day for 1 week learn deeply
Listen to the Mini-Story lesson two times a day or more
Answer the Mini-Story questions loudly :)
Do NOT think about grammar. Do NOT try to memorize
Just relax. Listen. Respond. Everything will happen automatically
Most importantly-- relax and smile as you listen to the lessons. If you don't want to speak yet, it’s OK. Our course is a "Listen First" system. Listening is most important.
It's OK to just listen. You will improve quickly and automatically if you listen every day. That is the key. Listen to the lessons 1 hour (or more) every day.
That is all you need to do. Do that, and I guarantee your success inshallah.
!Good luck and enjoy the lessons

Basic Listening Lesson #05
Step 1: Listen to Dialog
Do not view the questions until after you have listened to the audio file. Reading the questions first will not help you improve your English listening skills.
To download the AUDIO file click here (http://www.talkenglish.com/Audio/L31/practice/L31P3.mp3)
Step 2: Quiz - View Questions
?What is the topic of discussion

Economy 101
Poli-sci
English
Calculus
?What was his favorite class
Biology
Chemistry
Business communication
Philosophy
?What word did he use to describe his favorite class
Amazing
Terrific

Interesting
If you are uncertain about the answers to the questions, listen to the audio file again after having read the questions. After you have made all your selections, you may view the answers to see how you did.
You should read the Conversation Dialog to help you study after going through the listening lesson. Do not view the Conversation Dialog prior to listening to the audio, or prior to answering all the questions.

Hello everyone! How are you doing ? Are you having a good time... I apologize for the delay; it was because of the overload of work the last few days . I'd like to thank Sara for sharing with us this motivating real story. Well, today I came up with an idea to improve your English. I suggest to create some talking points and conversations.
The main aim of these Talking Points is to promote fluency by presenting each other with stimulating discussion questions. All Talking Points must be for use with students of all levels. Each Talking Point is accompanied by suggestions I might provide when necessary and of course some exercises of listening and discussion.
I suggest to form randomly some groups to discuss all kinds of issues such as high school programs, university learning, university reputation, employement, family, even some political or cultural issues.
Basic English conversations help beginning learners build basic English skills. Each conversation group includes a few short conversations introducing basic English phrases. These short dialogues are ideal as models for beginners to begin speaking English.
Let's start this time with : Family matters, we need someone to talk about himself and describe his own family and what's so special about his family and who is the closest one to him/her among all family members.
After that, we will have some questions and some vocabulary activities.
?Who is to start
Hi everyone so i will start talking on this exciting topic
first i will talk about myself i'm student of english and the reason for chosen this lg because it's the first lg on the world
the most things i like watching tv and sitting in front of the computer
about my family i haven't grandfather or grandmother they died when i was very young but hmd i have my parents and brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, and fortunatly i have nephews an nieces and i liked them so much and they are the special in my family i love all members of my family
and also i have an other family which is you the members of this forum
thank you sir and good luck in your life and work

TALKING ABOUT FAMILY
http://learnenglishkids.britishcouncil.org/sites/kids/files/imagecache/block_image/iStock_000015501452XSmall.jpg
Hi everyone! I hope you’re doing well
Thanks Sara! Your family is a big one and the time when people get together is such a warm and wonderful moment. If you have some short stories about family to tell your beloved family members, what can be greater than that? I go home every week-end and I spend a wonderful time with my parents, two brothers, uncles, their wives, their children and my beloved grandmother. We usually prepare our lunch to go away for a trip to some different peaceful place every time we have a chance. The guys play a football match and women try to enjoy the view, chitchat and set the place for the big family lunch.
One of my friends made a remark about a common attitude in our society he told me this story:
I bumped into a stranger as he passed by, “Oh, excuse me please" was my reply. He said, "Please excuse me too; wasn’t even watching for you." We were very polite, this stranger and I. We went on our way and we said good-bye. But at home a different story is told, how we treat our loved ones, young and old. Later that day, *****ng the evening meal, my daughter stood beside me very still. When I turned, I nearly knocked her down. "Move out of the way," I said with a frown. She walked away, her little heart was broken. I didn't realize how harshly I'd spoken. While I lay awake in bed, God's still small voice came to me and said, "While dealing with a stranger, common courtesy you use. But the children you love, you seem to abuse. Look on the kitchen floor, you'll find some flowers there by the door. Those are the flowers she brought for you. She picked them herself: pink, yellow and blue. She stood quietly not to spoil the surprise, and you never saw the tears in her eyes." By this time, I felt very small, and now my tears began to fall. I quietly went and knelt by her bed; "Wake up, little girl, wake up," I said. "Are these the flowers you picked for me?" She smiled, "I found 'em, out by the tree. I picked 'em because they're pretty like you. I knew you'd like 'em, especially the blue." I said, "Daughter, I'm sorry for the way I acted today; I shouldn't have yelled at you that way." She said, "Oh, dad, that's okay. I love you anyway." I said, "Daughter, I love you too, and I do like the flowers, especially the blue." Are you aware that: If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of days. But the family we left behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives. And come to think of it, we pour ourselves more into work than to our family - an unwise investment indeed. So what is behind the story? You know what is the full word of family? FAMILY=(F)ather (A)nd (M)other, (I) (L)ove (Y)ou! Fill life with love and bravery and we shall live a life uncommon.
When I write about life lessons, I think that every experience in life can be somehow written as a lesson. It is almost as if everything that happens to us is meant to teach us a lesson that will guide us on our way forward.
By the way, I used to think that this friend was stupid but after this story I reconsidered that.
Not everything in life is beautiful and easy, but everything holds a lesson - a message of encouragement or a warning. When circumstances speak, all you have to do is listen.
?I have a question for you : What are the most difficult things parents have to do
Until next time, I wish you great, empowering lessons.
Be happy,
jackluis2008

Regarding your English, it will be helpful if I give you some tips to move on with your English correctly. So, I will be giving you everyday a new tip or two which you have to try to use in your speech.
First tip: Expressing Age
We use the verb "to be" to express age in English. There are two possibilities: He is eight. OR He is eight years old.
Example Sentences
Ali is twenty-two.
My brother is thirty-six years old.
Second tip: Short Answers
When answering yes/no questions, use the auxiliary verb to reply.
Example Sentences
Did he come last week? - Yes, he did.
Have you lived here long? - No, I haven't.

?What is the perfect
The important thing to remember about English tenses is that they often have more to do with what a person thinks of something than they have about when it happened. (This is why, for example, we can use present tenses to describe the past, the present or the future.) This fact is particularly true of the present perfect. But before we look at the 'present' bit of the present perfect, let's examine the 'perfect' bit. Perfect tenses describe not one time, but two. We use the perfect to show how these two times are connected. For an example of how we use the perfect, let us look at a past perfect
For example:
He was happy last week, because I had remembered his birthday.
In this sentence, we have a past 'he was happy' and a past perfect 'I had remembered'. The use of the perfect in the sentence connects two different times in the past. I remembered his birthday, and he was happy. Which one happened first? Well, I remembered his birthday, and this made him happy, so the remembering came first, and him being happy came second. We use the past perfect to explain which happened first, and to connect the two events. Notice the time indicator, 'last week', which tells us that I had remembered before then.
The present perfect is even easier, if you only remember that it is a present tense. Therefore the present perfect always connects an event in the past with the present. Therefore we do not usually add a time indicator to a present perfect, because the time indicator is always 'now'.
For example, compare:
'I have forgotten my wallet'
'I forgot my wallet yesterday'
Notice that the first example does not have a time indicator, so we know that the time indicator is 'now'. The speaker does not have his wallet with him now. The second example tells us what happened yesterday, but it gives us no information about what the situation is now. So the important thing to remember about the present perfect is that it might have happened in the past, but it is true or relevant now.

TALKING ABOUT FRIENDS
http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs13/f/2007/095/a/1/friends_by_nn88.jpg
Hi everyone! I hope you are doing fine ...I want to ask about two dear friends and active students who have been away for a while "Zahra and Asma". I wonder if they are okay or shall we call them in " jak el mersoul" .
Our topic for today is about FRIENDSHIP and TRUE FRIENDS and what it takes to have a true friend.
Short Story On Friendship
Long time ago in ancient Greece, there live a man named Socrates, who was highly knowledgeable and an esteemed philosopher. One fine day, a fellow approached him. That person told Socrates that he has some information to tell him about his friend. Before he could even start talking about his friend, Socrates told him to take a test known as the 'Triple Filter Test'.
The first test of the 'Triple Filer Test' was the filter of truth. Socrates asked him if the information he had was the truth. The person said that he had just heard it on the way and was not sure if it was the absolute truth. The second filter was that of goodness. He asked if the information was regarding anything good about his friend. The man said it was actually the opposite. The third filter was that of usefulness. Socrates asked if the information was useful to him in any way. The man replied in the negative.
Socrates then replied that when the information regarding a friend is not true, good or useful, then why it should be conveyed at all. The moral of the story is that you may always participate in loose gossip, but when it comes to your friends ,it is just not worth it. You know your friends better than others. Therefore, you must avoid talking behind the back of your dearest friends. It only leads to strained relations and shows that you are not reliable or trustworthy as a friend.
THE THIRD TIP: Already and Yet
Use "already" in positive sentences to express something done recently.
Use "yet" in the question and negative forms.
Example Sentences
Have you finished that report yet?
He's already talked with Bob.

Well Fantasy! First, you need to introduce yourself (your name, level , why do you want to learn English), then you need to read all rules, tips (pieces of advice) and finally try to answer the listening exercises. We have done few of them and we're trying to break the routine by some talking points in which we intend to devote some time to discuss some important issues using only English in order to be exposed to English in LISTENING, SPEAKING, READING, & WRITING. Most importantly-- relax and smile as you listen to the lessons. If you don't want to speak yet, its OK. Our English course is a "Listen First" system. Listening is most important. So, I need to focus on listening and answering as many exercises as possible.
In this course
We have posted 7 rules of how to improve your English -
We have added more tips of how to use English correctly (still more) -
We have posted Basic Listening exercises with key -
We have started some Talking Points which we intend to involve everyone in the conversation -
About the Present and Past perfect check this post out :http://djelfa.info/vb/showpost.php?p=7539694&postcount=161
P.S: I would like to inform all the subscribers: if you have any questions you can post it in here or send it via email: jackluis2008 @ y a h o o . com

Tip n° 5: Using a Verb as a Noun
We use the gerund form of the verb (verb+ing) when we use the verb as a noun.
Example Sentences
Playing golf is my favorite pastime.
She said that driving was very difficult for her.
Tip n° 6: Use the past continuous to express an interrupted action in the past.
Example Sentences
She was talking on the phone when he arrived.
? What was she doing when you asked her the question
In the next post, we will discuss some of the main difficulties in learning English.
Have a great day and continue to improve your English :)
Take Care,

Hi again!
I believe that the main difficulty that you face in learning English is that you have set no exact goals in mind except for being ambiguously able to speak English. I learnt English for specific purposes such as Business English for my work and translating official documents after going through a series of basic goals as: saying hi, asking for places, and talking about familiar things. I was hoping to learn how to write long correct sentences, understanding movies, songs, and documentaries. Then, I arrived to learn academic English. After, I decided to be more specific about my learning. Briefly, I want to discover these secrets and try to understand and put into action:
Secret 1: Set goals
Goal setting: Imagine the result
We need to set goals to achieve anything of value.
While reading this post it is helpful to have clear goals in mind. This helps you to focus on the result you want.
A good way to do this is to imagine you have already worked through the lesson and have achieved what you want to be able to do in English.
Time to think
Well! Now, I want you to choose the 4 most important goals to concentrate on to learn English.
Hi everyone hi Mr ahmed
please sir Ahmed i want from you a favor of course if you want and if you have time
you told us in rule five use stories told in different time so please could you bring me this kind of stories
i'm waiting for your answer until that time i wish the best for you in you life
good bye

Hi, this is Ahmed again with a new way to improve your English. Sorry for the delay it was because of health problems.
Welcome to a new webinar series! Now for those of you don’t know, what is a webinar? Well, webinar comes from two English words. One is WEB, as in the internet, right, the world wide web. And then the other word is SEMINAR. A seminar is kind of a class or a series of classes. So we put those words together, a webinar is an online class. So these are little mini-webinars, little mini-classes, little mini-lessons about different topics. And I call those webinars and it’s a general word that a lot of people, especially online business and online teachers, use, webinar.
So welcome to this webinar. This is actually the beginning of a series of webinars. You’re going to get 7 or 8 of these webinars. And each webinar will be posted in this forum. So, if you don’t understand something I’m saying, there are some new vocabulary words, for example. You can also read along and you can use your dictionary to find new words and things. So I want you to understand everything in each of these webinars.
So what’s the topic? What’s the topic of this Webinar series? Well, the topic is the 7 essential steps for change and leadership. And these are 7 steps for changing anything in your life, for making any kind of big improvement, for example, making a big improvement in your English speaking. But it can be used for anything. These steps can be used for anything in your life. Anything you want to improve or change. And they’re also steps that you can use if you’re trying to lead other people. So, for example, I use these steps when I work, when I’m doing a seminar or when I’m managing my subordinates. I actually use each of the steps that I’m going to teach you over the next several weeks
So today is Step 1, the first essential step for change and leadership. And then, of course, the next one will be Step 2, Step 3, you get the idea. Alright. So let’s go straight to Step Number 1.What is Step Number 1, the first step? So you want to change something in your life. Let’s say you want to become a perfect native speaker of English. You want to sound just like one. Or you want to sound just like…I don’t know…Obama or whoever. Pick some American or British person or Australian person, someone who was born in that country. Maybe that’s your dream, to speak fantastic incredible English. Or maybe your goal is not quite that high. You just want to speak easily and automatically and understandably. Okay, everybody doesn’t need to sound exactly like a North American, for example. It’s okay if you have a slight accent. As long as everyone understands you, that’s fine.
So whatever your goal is, you’re here and you want to get here. Maybe it’s with your physical health. Maybe it’s with your relationships, business, your career, it doesn’t matter. So I’m going to teach you 7 steps to sort of help you make those changes. And today is Step Number 1, the very first thing you must do. And this step, you’re probably not going to expect, it’s going to seem strange in the beginning.
So the first step is to develop your personal energy and health, personal energy and health. What does that have to do with, for example, improving your English? Why do you need to improve your health and your energy level in order to make big improvements in your English or anything else in your life? Well, the reason is simple. Change requires energy. Leadership requires energy.
If you’re fatigued and tired all the time, are you really going to feel like studying English a lot? Listening to a lot of English, reading a lot of English…probably not. I know I have had that problem in the past and I usually didn’t want to go and start studying a lot, or working at anything difficult. Right? When you’re tired on the time you don’t have energy to make a change. You tend to just keep doing the same thing every day, day after day.
To change, to make big changes in your life it requires a lot of energy. You need energy to break old habits. You need energy to establish and create new positive strong habits. You need energy to overcome difficulty. Sometimes you’re going to face difficulties. Sometimes you’re not going to feel like doing something that you really need and want to do. And if you have the energy, you can make yourself do it. But if you’re tired, you can’t, or you won’t probably. So energy is vitally important.
Okay, when I started this course, Learn English with me! if I’d been tired all the time, I never would have done it. I’m already working in an overloaded position and I had to post these lessons. I would do my job at the office. Then I’d fill my break-times with the preparation of these lessons. Now if I had been tired all the time I probably never would have had the energy.
Another point, if you need to lead people, if you need to teach people you have to have energy. People follow energy. If, for example, I was teaching you and all my webinars and all my lessons I send you and all my lessons, if I was just kind of tired all the time and I just said “Ahhh, welcome to Learn English with me!. Welcome to Learn Real English. So today we’re going to talk about grammar…” You wouldn’t be reading this post now. You probably wouldn’t be getting these posts, right? Because why do you do it? You want the energy. You are attracted to energy.
First and foremost, my first number 1 secret as a teacher is I am very, very, very energetic. Right now, I’m actually very calm. I have tons of energy. Because of that I never have problems with anyone I’m dealing with.
If you’re leading people, people tend to be attracted to, tend to focus on the person with the most energy.
You see this with kids a lot. If you’re teaching children and you’re tired, you’re in big trouble, right? If you’re tired and you’re trying to teach children who are very energetic, they’re going to be running around going crazy and, oh, sit down. It’s not good. Teachers who teach children have to be able to have a lot of energy and, of course, they have to be able to calm down the children, too.
So the point is, if you want to be a leader, if you want to teach people, if you want to be a leading your ambitions in any part of your life, whether you’re a parent or in your business or in your job, you’ve got to have energy.
Energy is really the foundation. It’s the beginning, the core for all change. It all starts with having a lot of energy. I make a lot of changes in my life. I try lots and lots of new things.
So how do I do it all? It’s because I have tons of energy…tons of physical energy, tons of mental energy, tons of emotional energy. So I have all energy. I have that engine and it powers everything else I do. If I was tired all the time I could never do any of it. So that’s the number 1 first step then, is what? Is to develop your energy level, to increase your energy level. And that really means first and foremost your physical energy because that’s where it all starts. It means getting healthy. And that’s a whole different topic by itself. I could talk hours and hours about how to be healthier. But you know a lot of the basic things. You know you shouldn’t be eating junk food. You know you should be out there doing some kind of exercise. And you know you should be eating more vegetables. Those three simple changes would make a huge difference in your energy level, just that. So start there. And then if you join and follow our lessons you’ll learn more techniques for improving your energy level at a physical level and getting much healthier.
And, of course, as you get healthier you’re going to find that your mental energy increases. You’re just able to think more and do more. You’re more creative. And your emotional energy increases, your positive emotional energy. You’ll feel happier, more enthusiastic, and more passionate about things. That’s the engine, right? That’s the engine that affects everything else in your life. It powers everything else in your life. Any change you want, whether it’s improving your English speaking or being a great leader or making more money. It doesn’t matter what it is. You’ve got to start with the energy. So Step 1, the first essential step in this series is what? Develop and increase your personal energy and health.
Alright. In the next webinar I’ll teach you Step Number 2. But for now focus on Step Number 1. Start thinking about how you can get healthier, how you can start increasing your energy level so that you have the energy and you have the power to make the changes that you want to make. You’ve got to have that power first. Then you can use the other steps to really make big positive amazing changes.
Okay. I will see you for the next step in the next webinar. Have a great day.

before I couldn't be patient to read long paragaphs, but when I started dealing with your course I 'm finding a pleasure to read and to apply all what taught us

would you please allow me to tell my friends about 'inshtine. in fact i ve read an article which i liked very much speaking about what inshtine says about sucess and intelligence. it is written in arabic:
معلومة تهمك I hope u really read it all and try to work with it :

Tips of the Day
First Tip: Few and A Few
We use "few" in a negative sense. Use "a few" in a positive sense.
Example Sentences
I have few friends in Los Angeles
I have a few friends in New York
Second Tip: Any and Some
We usually use "any" in the question form except when offering or requesting something which is present - in this case we use "some"
Example Sentences
?Would you like something to drink
She doesn't have any time this afternoon
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask

English Speaking Activities
For today, I'm asking you to start a new habit as a speaking activity
There are many ways for students studying the English lge to improve their lge skills. One of the best ways is simply by speaking as much English as possible. The activity of actually speaking English is much more similar to how a child learns to speak the English lge natively. The ability to read and write English are both obviously important skills, although a child usually speaks English before learning how to read English. Since speaking a lge is actually a more natural way for a human to learn, here are some recommended English speaking activities a student may appreciate and enjoy.
http://www.roadkilltshirts.com/Assets/MoreImages/PS_0834_YOU_ENGLISH_PIC2.jpg
Speak Everything That Is Done
One fun way for an English lge student to really benefit from and also enjoy is the practice of speaking everything that is done throughout the day. When waking up in the morning, a student can say aloud: “I am waking up!” When getting out of bed, a student can say: “I am getting out of bed.” When praying, a student can say: “I am praying.” Okay, maybe it’s better for one to be quiet while praying. Hopefully the general idea of the fun practice is clear. Speak everything that is being done throughout the day, whenever possible. When walking on the sidewalk, a student can say aloud: “I am walking on the sidewalk.” When passing a tree, a student can say: “I am passing a tree.” If it is necessary for a student to look up a word in a dictionary to describe activity, then the student should do so. Looking up the right word to use for a situation is important for this practice. Using the right words again and again throughout the day is a good way to learn English vocabulary. In case you have no idea what to say on a particular situation, you can ask me

I would like to inform those who sent me emails that I will reply as soon as possible inshallah
!For today, it’s all about practice. Accrochez-vous et préparez-vous au voyage de votre vie
Speaking English well is the goal of all English learners. In this post, you'll learn about speaking English on the telephone, speaking English in situations at work, and speaking English in everyday situations, also known as small talk.
!Finally, it's Eid El A’dha here in Algeria soon. Have fun learning English
Telephone English - Important Phrases
There are a number of phrases and idioms that are only used when telephoning. Let's first take a look at an example dialogue: Here are the most common:
?Operator: Hello, Frank and Brothers, How can I help you
?Peter: This is Peter Jackson. Can I have extension 3421
Operator: Certainly, hold on a minute, I'll put you through...
Frank: Bob Peterson's office, Frank speaking.
?Peter: This is Peter Jackson calling, is Bob in
?Frank: I'm afraid he's out at the moment. Can I take a message
Peter: Yes, Could you ask him to call me at . I need to talk to him about the Nuovo line, it's urgent.
?Frank: Could you repeat the number please
Peter: Yes, that's , and this is Peter Jackson.
Frank: Thank you Mr Jackson, I'll make sure Bob gets this asap.
Peter: Thanks, bye.
Frank: Bye.
As you can see, the lge is rather informal and there are some important differences to everyday English. Look at the chart below for key lge and phrases used in telephone English:
Introducing yourself
This is Ken.
Ken speaking
Asking who is on the telephone
?Excuse me, who is this
?Can I ask who is calling, please
Asking for Someone
)Can I have extension 321? (extensions are internal numbers at a company
)Could I speak to...? (Can I - more informal / May I - more formal
?Is Jack in? (informal idiom meaning: Is Jack in the office
Connecting Someone
)I'll put you through (put through - phrasal verb meaning 'connect'
?Can you hold the line? Can you hold on a moment
How to reply when someone is not available
I'm afraid ... is not available at the moment
)The line is busy... (when the extension requested is being used
Mr Jackson isn't in... Mr Jackson is out at the moment...
Taking a Message
?Could (Can, May) I take a message
?Could (Can, May) I tell him who is calling
?Would you like to leave a message
To be continued …

Hi again, I hope you are having great day
This classic conversation lesson is based on the idea of creating a new society. You must decide which laws will be followed and how many freedoms will be allowed. This lesson works well for students of most levels - except beginners - as the subject brings out many opinions.
Aim: Building conversation skills, expressing opinions
Populate Ideal Land
A large area of your country has been set aside by the current government for the development of a new nation. This area will include an invited international community of 20,000 men and women. Imagine that your group has to decide the laws of this new country.
Discuss the following questions
? Which political system will the country have
? What will the official lge(s) be
?What industries will your country try to develop
? Will there be the death penalty
? Will there be a state religion
?What kind of immigration policy will there be
?What will the educational system be like? Will there be compulsory education to a certain age
?Are there any other aspects you want to talk about
!Enjoy Learning English

? Hi. How are you today
I'm fine. In fact, it's a nice warm and sunny day in here. I'm planning to go for a nice long walk around the city.
But before I do I wanted to send you a lesson about English usage of some words and expressions
Tip n°1: Say & Tell
We use "say" without an indirect object. "Tell" on the other hand takes an indirect object - i.e. He told me.
Example Sentences
I told her to hurry up.
I said I was coming soon.
Tip n°: Shall
Use "shall" with "we" when asking for suggestions for a group.
Example Sentences
Where shall we go tonight?
When shall we meet?
Tip n°: Past Passive
The passive voice simple past is formed: Passive Subject + to be (conjugated) + participle
Example Sentences
One thousand units were produced last month.
The application form was completed and submitted to the administration.
Tip n°4: Verb of Purpose
When using a verb of purpose - I do something to do another thing. - use "to + verb".
Example Sentences
She bought the computer to get more work done at home.
Hans visited the branch to speak with the manager.
Tip n°5: If he were
Use "were" in the second conditional if clause for all subjects.
Example Sentences
If he were the boss, we'd all have more to do.
I would change my position if I were you.
P.S: Do not hesitate to post your questions

teacher I do not understand tip5 well.can you give us more examples
? Hi everyone! How are you doing
Well, tip n°5 is a very simple rule.
verb to be in the past is as follows: I was , you were, he/she/it was, they were, we were
We say , for instance : he was the boss
But in the conditional form, we say: if he were the boss
or if I were the boss, not if I was the boss
We always use 'were' in the conditional form we cannot say : if I was or if he was
I hope this was enough

Hi again
Tip n°6
Among or Between
Use the preposition "among" to mean "in the middle of many" and "between" to mean "in the middle of two".
Example Sentences
Our house in among many.
That's our house between the school and the playground.
Tip n°7
Have to
Usage Tip
Use "have to" for everyday obligation and responsibilities.
Example Sentences
Jack has to get up at seven every morning.
Students have to complete all assigned homework on time.
Tip n°8:
His
Usage Tip
The possessive pronoun form of he is "his" - both when followed by a noun and by itself - It is his book. The book is his.
Example Sentences
I think that's his car.
That house over there is his.

Comme l’Aïd approche, je vais commencer par vous féliciter et souhaiter un Aid Mubarak
http://www.sajidine.com/images/barretitre.jpg
I want to post this idea that came to my mind which is to talk about what are you going to do during Aid days and what similartites and differences do Algerians have in Aid traditions
Let's present our Aid day socially and religiously
Eid -El -Adha is one of the special festivals celebrated by Muslims irrespective of the fact, that wherever a Muslim person is, the festival of Eid -El -Adha is celebrated with lot of enthusiasm. This year it is falling on 6th November, 2011.
Muslims celebrate the festival of Eid -El Adha in remembrance of prophet Abraham’s readiness to sacrifice his son Ishmael to God. On Eid -El Adha Muslims sacrifice their domestic animals, like goat, sheep, cow, camel etc. This sacrifice of animals is made by Muslims to pay a tribute to prophet Abraham, as he was ready to sacrifice his son but God gave him a Sheep to sacrifice.
Eid -El Adha celebrations occur after the Hajj and the festival of Eid -El Adha is celebrated on the tenth day of the last month of Islamic year, Duhl- Hijja. Eid -El Adha is known through several names across the world (Eid el kebir in Algeria) and this festival of sacrifice is celebrated for several days in some areas of the country. It is seen that Muslims celebrate this festival with great excitement no matter where they are.
Islamic month starts at end of the day, on the day when lunar crescent comes into view after the new moon that can be seen with a naked eye. It is seen that the observability depends on a number of factors such as:
Natural climatic conditions
Height of moon at the end of the day
Proximity of moon to the sun during sunset
The time between the sunset and moonset
Pollution level in the atmosphere
Accuracy of the eye of viewer
So the visibility of moon at any place on earth cannot be predicted in advance and therefore this festival of Eid -El Adha is celebrated on different days in several places all over the world.
In my case, since obviously I live in Djelfa, we pay not much attention to the procedure of buying the ram. After Salat, my father and I prepare the ram for slaughtering. My two brothers, my uncles and cousins keep with Eid greetings. Women prepare a reunion lunch waiting for the meat. Once we finish the slaughtering, we start our turn to pray for our family, friends and acquaintances. I usually meet with friends after noon. We hang out and have a city tour. I come back home later on to have long talks with family. I take the second day of Eid as a relief and I go back to work on the third day and have similar procedures with my co-workers. That's it
