Well Djihad! It's good to have you back.
About your concerns, it's common that the first year degree students get confused about Linguistics but by time they understand more and more. It's not a complicated descipline. Perhaps, mis-understood but never a problem. I can give you some tips about every lesson, just report it to me via e-mail.
Linguistics was my favourite module. It feels like you have a scientific attitude.

Hi, dear. H Concerning l'Aid days, I start my day by El fajr prayer .Then, I prepare breakfast which is coffee and milk with some cakes. Next, waiting for my husband and son to return home from the l' Aid Prayer, I help my daughters cleaning the house starting by the living room. when the prayer is finished , we kiss one another and wish happiness. After that, I go to my neighbors' to wish them Happy L' Aid . when my husband finishes the slaughtering, I start the most tiring task in the day that is to clean the GUTS hhhhhhh
Then , I prepare lunch. I used to prepare 'kamounia' which is a traditional dish in Biskra , but coz my children prefer fried potatoes with grilled meat and liver, I am asked to serve there wants. After, lunch we visit my step mother and father then my brother's . Next day, we return back to my step father's to meet my step sister, my step brothers and their children . Sometimes , we stay the day before and spend the night there
In the third day of l'Aid , we go working and the kids go to school as usual.
I wish a marry l'Aid for every body and may Allah fulfill all the wishes in these blessing and great days

Hi everyone! Happy Eid! I hope that you are okay.
I see some great discussions between my favorite learners…Thanks a lot!
I would like to welcome the new members and ask them to take the course from the beginning by reading all the old posts to understand what we are doing.
Let’s get back to our course with some new tips
Tip n°1: Had to
"Had to" is the past of both "have to" and "must".
Example Sentences
John had to get up early to catch the train last week.
He said he had to leave.
Tip n°2: Would Like vs. Do You Like
We Use the form "Would you like to ..." when inviting someone to do something specific. Use the form "Do you like to ..." when asking a general question.
Example Sentences
Would you like to come over this weekend?
Do you like playing golf?
Tip n°3: Question Tags
Question tags are formed by the auxiliary verb in the opposite sense of the main statement (here negative because the principle phrase is positive) followed by the subject.
Example Sentences
You're leaving town soon, aren't you?
She hasn't seen him in a long time, has she?
Tip n°4: Unless
Use "unless" to mean "if not" in the first conditional.
Example Sentences
Unless you come, we won't be able to make a decision.
She will give up unless she has some success soon.
Tip n° 5: As ... As
Use "as ... as" to express comparative equality. Do not use the comparative form of the adjective (i.e. hotter, more difficult, etc.)
Example Sentences
This test is as difficult as the test last week.
London is as expensive as Tokyo.
Tip n° 6: Indirect Questions
Indirect questions require the question phrase be put into regular statement order. Direct questions are inverted. Indirect questions begin with phrases such as "Do you know if..., Would you mind if..., Do you think that..."
Example Sentences
Would you mind if I sat down?
Do you think that he is going to attend the conference?
P.S: In the next post we will learn new methods to improve your vocabulary

How To Improve Your Vocabulary
There are many ways to improve your vocabulary. When working to improve your vocabulary it's important to know your goals in order to best choose the way in which you want to learn. Reading can be a great way to improve your vocabulary. However, it won't be much help on a vocabulary test next week. Here are a number of methods to help you improve, and expand, your English vocabulary.
I told you once that you need to write down the vocabulary you learned. Try to use some strategies to write them in order to memorize them.
Here's How:
1.Vocabulary Trees
Vocabulary trees help provide context. Once you've mapped out a few vocabulary trees, you'll discover yourself thinking in vocabulary groups. When you see a cup your mind will quickly relate such words as knife, fork, late, dishes, etc. This overview to vocabulary trees provides will help you get started.
Here is an example of a vocabulary tree.
http://0.tqn.com/d/esl/1/0/g/1/vocabtree.jpg
2.Create Vocabulary Themes
Create a list of vocabulary themes, include the vocabulary, a definition and an example sentence for each new item.
3.Use Technology to Help You
Watching DVDs is a great way to help you understand native speakers of English. Using all the fancy options watching individual scenes can help make DVD use into a vocabulary learning exercise.
4.Specific Vocabulary Lists
Rather than studying a long list of unrelated vocabulary, use specific vocabulary lists to help you prepare for the type of vocabulary you need for work, school or hobbies. These business vocabulary word lists are great for industry specific vocabulary items.
5.Word Formation Charts
Word formation is one of the keys to success for advanced level ESL learners. Advanced level English exams such as the TOEFL, First Certificate CAE and Proficiency use word formation as one of the key testing elements. These word formation charts provide the concept noun, personal noun, adjective and verb forms of key vocabulary listed in alphabetical order.
6.Visual Dictionaries
A picture is worth a thousand words. It's also very helpful for learning precise vocabulary. There are a number of excellent English learner visual dictionaries for sale. Here is an online version of a visual dictionary dedicated to jobs. (http://visual.merriam-webster.com/)
7.Learn C o l l o c a t i o n s
Col l o c a t i o ns refer to words that often or always go together. A good example of a col loca tion is to do your homework. These lists of important verb + noun coll oca tions will help your learn some of the most important.
8.Use a Corpus
Corpora are huge collections of documents that can track the number of times a word is used. By using a corpora, you can find which words are often used together with target vocabulary words. Combining corpora use with vocabulary trees is a great way to learn key vocabulary for specific vocabulary target areas. You can get started by visiting the British National Corpus (http://www.natcorp.ox.ac.uk/).
Tips:
1.Use vocabulary learning methods to focus quickly on the vocabulary YOU need to study.
2.Don't make random lists of new words. Try to group words in themes. This will help you memorize new words more quickly.
3.If you have the time, and even if you think you don't have the time, try to add context. Writing a few example sentences using new vocabulary will help you remember the words in context.
4.Keep a vocabulary notepad at hand whenever you are reading in English.
Hi ..... I know from A to Z ...colors..numbers...pronous... days, months ,time...noun of some fruit.....
can I have english langage?
your level study is high..

I have a suggestion for you and I want you to tell me whether you like it or not , if yes, you need to work with me
I want to teach you some English for CONVERSATION, because conversation courses aim at improving the self-confidence and fluency by giving plenty of opportunity to practice in different real-life situations.
English Conversation course ( 16 levels ) divided into 4 stages
Elementary stage: 4 levels
I will give you a good start by teaching you essential useful vocabulary and grammar. I will put you in simple real-life situations.
Intermediate stage: 4 levels
You will study a range of simple everyday English social expressions you can use for making simple conversation while shopping, on the telephone, at the airport and checking into a hotel.. etc. You will watch English-subtitled movies (I will give you the links to watch and download). You will have a discussion section in a chat room to discuss general topics.
Upper Intermediate stage: 4 levels
You will be on the way to become a confident user of English. At this level, you will begin to express much more complex thoughts than before and pronounce using features of connected speech and intonation. You will have a discussion section in chat room to discuss controversial topics. You will watch un subtitled movies (I will give you the links to watch & download).
Advanced level: 4 levels
You will develop your range of everyday English social expressions for adding emphasis, interrupting, contradicting, persuading and spontaneous speaking. You will study a range of grammar including perfect forms, participle clauses, articles, complex sentences and discourse, conditional sentences, and inversions. You will develop your vocabulary skills by guessing meaning from context, understanding subtleties in lge, col loca tion, and multi-word verbs.
Our aim is to provide a high level of English lge competence to all people of all levels and ages.
Each student who completes a course of learning will be able to pass an English test stating the level achieved. (I will tell you about that later, inshallah)
?So, tell me what do you think of that

Learn English Conversation
http://laboitebleue.comuv.com/dating/conversation[1].gif
English conversation is quite different from English reading. Conversation uses a different type of English, including different vocabulary.
English conversation vocabulary is much more casual. In English, this means we use more words of Saxon or Old English origin during conversation. We also use more phrasal verbs (two or three word verbs).
The difference between conversation and more formal English is one reason that even “advanced” students have difficulty with everyday conversations.
The problem is that students learn more formal English in school. Formal English tends to use more words of French & Latin origin. This kind of English is, in fact, much easier for students who speak Romance lges such as Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, or French. These students often do quite well when reading English, but have a lot of trouble understanding normal speech.
So, if you want to communicate with native speakers its very important to learn English conversation– not just textbooks and reading.
To learn conversation, you must listen to more casual English and you must learn the different vocabulary and patterns used in normal speech.
In these lessons, I always focus on real English conversation and I use the vocabulary of common speech. Another great source of casual English conversation is film. Listen to American and English movies and read the subtitles. This will also help you.
Today, we will start with the very begining of English Conversation using a very simple method; I will give you some conversation sentences and phrases which will use in the next discussion

Learn Real English
Hi everyone. I hope you are okay. I would like to thank Zahra for the lovely contribution and great English
Today, I brought to you a new material for real English learning. Download and enjoy learning.

IN ENGLISH is a series of videos and workbooks that offers many advantages for classroom or tutoring use. It was designed to take full advantage of video, offering students literally thousands of skits, images, conversations, and everyday settings, and situations.
There are twelve units of sequential lessons in the series, and Unit 1 begins at the very beginning: the present tense of "to be" and prepositions.
Our students spend hours viewing the tapes and the improvement in the lge skills as they progress through the series is evident. I highly recommend IN ENGLISH to you all. I am confident that this is one of the best the field has to offer.

Hi. How are you doing today? Are you having a good day? I hope you are doing well.
I apologize for the delay but this is purely due to work load
Let's start today with this idea
Imagine yourself in a coffee shop, talking with an American. You are relaxed and smiling because you are communicating easily. The words come out quickly. You are a strong and respected English speaker. Your friends are surprised because you are speaking English so well.
I want you to succeed! Please use the 7 Rules when you study English.
You can do it!
Remember The 7 Rules:
1. Learn Phrases
2. Don't Study Grammar
3. Focus On Listening
4. Learn Deeply (Repeat A Lot)
5. Use Point of View Stories
6. Use Only Real English Materials
7. Use Listen & Answer Stories
These rules are meant to help you learn real English. Try to follow them and don't wait for me to give you lessons. I will give you only instructions and information when need. I can explain what you find difficult
Take care,
Ahmed
thanks a lot Mr Ahmed for the great instructions you gave us
inchallah we'll take them into consediration when improving our english

Hi
It's me again ;) I hope you miss me
Well, I'm back with the lessons I promised you. I have prepared them with your level in mind
Let's start
You now have my email (jackluis2008 @ y a h o o. c o m). Save the email. Do not lose it. It is the only
way you can receive and download each lesson set. I tried to upload it but I couldn't
Each lesson Set has at least 4 different lessons. All lessons in a Set have the same name, for example “Secret Love”. These lessons go together. Every day, you will listen to all the lessons in ONE lesson SET (all the lessons with the same name). You will listen to the lessons in only one set.
You will listen to only one set for a week or more.
This is very important. You will only improve quickly if you follow this method-- one lesson set everyday-- the same lesson set every day for a week (or more).
Some sets have more than 4 lessons.
What kind of lessons are in each set, and how should you use them?
*A Text Article (Adobe .pdf file)
Read the article and review the wordlist if there is one. Do not “study” it. Don’t try to memorize it.
Just read it a couple of times each day and review new words (in a relaxed way). Use a dictionary to translate difficult words, if necessary.
*Vocabulary Lesson (MP3)
Just listen. Don’t try to memorize the words. Just listen to this lesson 1-3 times each day for at least a week.
*Mini-Story Lessons(MP3)
This is the most powerful lesson. First time, just listen. Then, listen and pause after each question.
Answer each question loudly in English, then play again. Continue to pause and answer after each question. Don’t worry if you don’t understand everything. Don’t worry about mistakes.
In the Mini-Story, I will do only three things:
1. I will make a statement. After a statement, just say, “Ahhhh” or “Ohhhh”.
2. I will ask a question that you know the answer to. Just answer the question. You don’t need to
answer with a sentence. You can answer with only one or two words.
3. I will ask a question that you don’t know the answer to. Guess. Yell a guess immediately.
Again, you can guess with just one (or a few) words. Complete sentences are not necessary.
When you answer a question, don’t worry about exact answers. Saying a correct and exact answer is not important. The most important thing is speed. Try to answer very quickly (remember, one word is fine). Speed is your goal. You want short fast answers, not long answers! In the beginning, this may be difficult. That’s OK. Use your pause button.
Eventually try to answer instantly, without using your pause button (this may take two weeks or even more).
Listen to this lesson many times every day for at least a week. The Mini-Story is the MOST IMPORTANT LESSON in the English Learning system. LIsten to these lessons the most.
*Audio Article (MP3)
Just listen. Relax and enjoy it. Listen to it several times each day for at least a week. Your goal is to
understand 100% instantly and automatically.
Some sets also have:
*Point of View Mini-Stories
These are a way to improve grammar fluency, without studying. Just listen carefully. Relax. Do not
think about grammar rules.
*Commentaries
These are extra talks about the topic. They might seem very difficult.
If they seem too difficult, skip them. The Commentary lessons are the LEAST IMPORTANT lessons
in the English Learning system. You can skip them if they feel too difficult.
However, if you understand 75% or more... listen. You probably won’t understand everything-- its
normal. Just relax and listen. Focus on the general ideas and information, not the ********. Try to
understand the main ideas. Listen to this lesson a couple of times each day for at least a week.
Suggested Lesson Order (Every Day Using The Same Set):
1. First, read the Text article. Read and review it, do not “study” it. Don’t try to memorize it.
2. Listen to the Vocabulary Lesson a few times
3. Listen to the Mini-Story Lesson several times
4. Listen to the Point of View Mini-Story, if there is one, a few times.
5. Listen to the Audio many times
6. Listen to the Commentary once (if there is one, and if you can understand it).
Learning Schedule
This English learning program is a deep learning system. You will learn each lesson very well. You will relax, go slowly and learn to speak English easily and automatically.
The best study schedule is as follows:
*Study one lesson set for a week or more. That’s right, only one set for at least a week. If you get bored, make game with the Mini-Story lessons-- try to answer each question faster and faster.
*Everyday, listen to all of the lessons in the lesson set. Try to listen to each lesson (in the set) at least two times every day. Listen to each lesson in the set every day-- for at least a week.
You should, therefore, repeat every lesson at least 20 times. 30 or more times for each lesson is best. Remember, the Mini-Stories and POV-Stories are most important.
*Listen at least one hour every day. Two hours every day is best. Its OK to divide your time during the day. For example, you might listen 30 minutes in the morning, 30 minutes going to work, 30 minutes during lunch, 30 minutes going home, and 30 minutes before going to sleep. In fact, this is an excellent way to learn.
*Relax :) Do not think about grammar rules. Just listen to the lessons and enjoy them. There is no pressure. You only need to listen and answer the questions (use the pause button).. If you have trouble, its OK. Just relax, go back to the beginning, and listen more. Listening is the most important activity.
*Start with the level “1.” lessons. These are the slowest, shortest, and easiest lessons. Then move to the lesson sets that begin with “2.”. These are faster. Finally, listen to the sets that begin with “3.”
These can be difficult, depending on your level.
Even if the lessons seem easy, listen to only one set for a full week. You might know the words very well, but you need them to go deep into your brain. You need a lot of repetition and a lot of answering questions. If the lessons seem easy, try to answer the questions very quickly-- make it a game.
If even the “1.” level lessons seem difficult-- just relax. You can listen to one lesson set for 4 weeks, or 10 weeks if necessary. Don’t worry about doing a lot of lesson sets. This is not important. Relax and focus on understanding. Choose one lesson set at level “1.”. Listen to all the lessons in it everyday until you understand them 100% of the Audio lesson. Go slow. You will improve a lot, even if you listen to only one lesson set for 10 weeks!
Have a great day
Ahmed
