The greatest product or service in the world won't make money unless consumers know it exists. advertising is mass media signification intended to persuade audiences of readers, viewers or listeners to take action on products, services and ideas. The idea is to drive consumer behavior in a particular way in regard to a product, service or concept.
Advertising has many good and positive points such as the consumer knows his/her options. People won't have to go out of their way to look for a product to please whatever need they may have at the moment. We won't have to wonder if there's even such a product. Certain brands and products will already be out there on the table and the choice comes down to the consumer. All you have to do is watch TV, listen to the radio or surf the net.
But this does not deny that Advertising has a negative side and it sometimes causes disappointment and frustration for the consumers because advertisements can give false messages to people. The main purpose of advertisements is to persuade people to buy things, so they are often misleading. They are often untruthful and promise things that are unrealistic or cannot happen. Many times, people will see an advertisement and think that using the advertised product will make them feel better. Unfortunately, this is usually not the case, and many people end up wasting money because of the false messages conveyed by advertisements. other negative point There's no more creativity on TV because everything we see or hear on TV is now meant to sell us something. For example actors present us new products they want us to buy. Models look more beautiful and younger with new makeup that you should - guess what – buy. if you're watching a 90 minutes movie it’s extended to two hours because of endless minutes of agony commercials break.
Advertisements have become a big part of our lives, especially because of television and the Internet. Because they are so common in our lives, they can easily influence the way people think and how they spend their money.
