![]() Salamo Alaikom I hope you're all ok In this topic I want to drive your attention to a more than a true story of a Japanese teen who defied all the challenges in pursue of his dreams, but for us the story has another perspective, it is the value of Man in Japanese culture, there, you’re respected not only because of your deeds but just because you’re a Man. Hanamichi Sakuragi or "Hassan" of Slam Dunk was a young man who suffered the loss of his mother, just to find himself facing the street in early age. His physical strength attracted a basketball trainer, it was that moment when he started believing that he could achieve his dream and join the national team Despite the fact that he was not so good in his beginnings but his persistence and toughness always pushed him forward and gave him a name among the best players in Japan to the extent he was seen “the hope of the Japanese basketball”. The man died in the age of 18 of a car accident when going to visit his ill father in the hospital. The legend was memorized in “Slam Dunk” animation to underline one of the exemplary Japanese figure Japanese are proud of their legends and they’re proud of their values as well, but still the higher value is the Man himself . ![]() Hope you like it ^^ your comments are most welcomed
