Once upon a time in one of the richest countries lived a king who occupied a lot of countries and had got a large amount of treasure. But this rich king could not be happy despite all of this richness. All king’s courtiers tried lots of methods to entertain their king, but inspite of these funny tricks they weren’t able to put off the veil of sadness from the king’s face. At last one of the nobles suggested to invite the most famous connoisseur of the country to the palace. The connoisseur surveyed the king carefully. At last he said: “Your Majesty, u must wear the shirt of the happiest man in the country. So u’ll be able to catch the happiness. The king ordered his soldiers to find the happiest man in the country. The soldiers inspected the country from East to West. At last they found a shepherd who was living in the high mountains with the sheep and his daily meal was consisted of a slice of dry bread and an onion. Yet he repeated all day: “Oh my God, I’m so happy, so much happy.” The soldiers were happy that at last they found the exact man they were searching for. They came nearer to ask his shirt, but the shepherd was bear. “Where is ur shirt? Give it to us, please.” – said the soldiers. “I haven’t got any shirt. I’ve never had a shirt,”- answered the shepherd smiling. The shepherd was an orphan and too poor to buy a shirt. Quiet surprised the soldiers returned to the palace and told the king the event. The king ordered them to fetch the shepherd. When the shepherd arrived the king asked him: “Why d’u consider urself be happy even if u haven’t got money to buy a shirt?” “Your Majesty, it’s very simple,-answered the shepherd, – every day and night I thank God for that He created me as a human-being and that He give me daily food. Try this way.” The king began thanking God every day for what He gave him. When the connoisseur arrived next time to survey the king he found him with a large smile in his face. Upon it the connoisseur said: “You see, Your Majesty, the happiness is not only gained with the occupied countries and all these treasures. ‘Cause every time you want more and more, and all these unfinished wishes make u sad. But if you learn to be satisfied with what u have, u’ll be ahppy forever. That’s what I tried to make u understand.” Really there’re a lot of people with the lists of thousands of wishes in their brains. But they even don’t take into consideration that we’re all human-beings, and we don’t know how much we’ll live. Maybe in a minute u’ll be dead. Are all these wishes really worth spending so much thinking on them. Instead of it why don’t we try to be happy with what we have. For example, thank God I’m human-being, thank God I’m healthy, thank God I’ve got my parents beside me, thank God I’ve daily food… The happiness is always by your side. You should only move your hand forward if you want catch it.
