A/the comparative:
1/Short adjectives
superiority example I'm taller than you
inferiority example
you're smaller than me
Rule
adj+er+than
equality example I'm as tall as you
Rule as +adj+as
2/long adjectives
sup eg drugs are more dangerous than cigarettes
Rule more+adj+than
equa Rule as+adj+as
inferio eg cigarettes are less dangerous than drugs
Rule adj +less+adj+than
Exception adj=good = better in comparative = best in superlative
ajd bad = worse in comparative and worst in superlative
adj far further/farther in comparative and farthest/furthest in superlative

2/long adjectives
A/superiority example I'm the most intelligent pupil
Rule the+most+adj
B/ inferiority example I'm the least intelligent pupil

Active and passive form
from active to passive
examples :
I eat chocolate = chocolate is eaten by me
I ate chocolate = chocolate was eaten by me
I shall eat chocolate = chocolate will be eaten by me
agent: I = me /you= you/he = him / she = her /it = it / you = you / they = them
PS: we don't put the agent in passive form when it's unkown or not important
from passive to active
examples
1/counterfeits are articles that are imitated
=
some businessmen imitate counterfeits
2/ a nice dress was bought by mary
=
mary bought a nice dress

The present simple :

To be :

I am

She he it is

We you they are

To have :

I you we they have

She he it has

Verbs :

I you we they + stem

She he it +stem+s

The past simple:

To be :

I was

She he it was

You they we were

To have :

I you she he it they you we had

Verbs :

1/regular verbs: rule : stem +ed

2/irregular verbs: you may need the list

The futur:

Rule : I we shall /will + stem

Rule:

You he she it they + will + stem

Ps for near future plan we use going to

Eg: I’m going to help you

The present continuous:

Definition: a long action in the present

Eg: now I’m speaking

Rule: S+to be (present)+v+ing

Eg: while I’m speaking you are listening

Or while I’m preparing dinner my brother is watching tv

The past continuous:

Definition: a long action in the past

Eg: yesterday while I was watching tv my brother called me

Rule: S+to be (past)+stem+ing

The present perfect:

Def1:the action started in the past and has just finished

Def2:the action started in the past and is not finished

Eg: I have posted the parcel

Rule: S+ to have (present)+past participle which means regular and irregular verbs

If with regular verbs = stem+ ed and if it’s irregular you may need the list

The past perfect:

Def: an action before another one in the past

Eg: yesterday I watched tv after I had revised my lessons

Rule: S+ to have (past) + past participle.
