Read the text, then do the activities about it.

There are many issues discussed by ethicists today. They concern medicine, business and environment.
First, in the biomedical field, health care workers are in an unusual position of continually dealing with life and death situations. It is not surprising, then, that medical ethics questions are more extreme and diverse than other areas since they cover the following: prenatal situations, genetic manipulation of foetuses, abortion, parents and physicians’ responsibility. Should physicians tell a dying patient the truth? What about confidentiality of medical reports? Moreover, the AIDS crisis has raised a specific issue. Can physicians refuse to treat AIDS patients? Additional issues concern medical experimentation on humans, the rights of the mentally retarded, the morality of suicide, the morality of physician assisted suicide, and euthanasia.
Second, in the field of economics, ethics examines the moral and social responsibilities of capitalist business practices, fraud, malpractices, basic employee rights, job discrimination, and drug testing.
Environmental ethics often overlaps with business and medical issues. These include the rights of animals, the morality of animal experimentation, preserving endangered species, pollution control, management of environmental resources, the protection of eco-systems, and our obligation to future generations.
As a conclusion, we may say that ethical questions are at the core of all debates that concern Man’s future. Scientists, men of law, men of religion too should unite effort to find appropriate answers.
