The traditional argument put forward in Algeria is that everything is fine and everything is under control. This conventional argument is based on the assumption that the government is strong as long as the population is sufficiently passive and obedient.
I`m afraid I don`t agree with you when you say the demonstrations and the calls for change are backed from the west. Western countries , and the first of which France, will be the bigest losers if the population ever revolts. One more thing , I don`t see change as a choice , It is rather a social necessity.
