U 2. Absolutely, we often get bored because of idleness than because of activity. When being busy, you won´t even have enough time to feel bored.
As a matter of fact, the followings are some quotes about Bordom:
[B]

Work spares us from three evils: boredom, vice, and need” (Voltaire)

¨The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity.¨ (Dorothy Parker)

Boredom is the feeling that everything is a waste of time; serenity, that nothing is. (Thomas Szasz)

Boredom is a sickness the cure for which is work; pleasure is only a palliative. (Le Duc de Lévis, Mémoires)

THe last one is my favorite. The following is for you SMART:

I’ve got a great ambition to die of exhaustion rather than boredom. (--Thomas Carlyle)

For Yakumo:

Nobody is bored when he is trying to make something that is beautiful or to discover something that is true. -(W.R. Inge)

The funniest one:

When I get real bored, I like to drive downtown and get a great parking spot, then sit in my car and count how many people ask me if I'm leaving. (Steven Wright)
