The semi-modal used to and its negative form are usually followed by a verb in stem form ie infinitive without to

Examples

1- When I was a child,I used to go to the zoo with my father

2- She didn't use to be good at English and now,she is a teacher of Engliالرابط مخالفrange!

- Did you use to smoke when you were young?

4- Where did he use to spend his holidays?

As you notice,we have given examples with the semi-modal used to in the affirmative,negative and

interrogative forms
