Valentine's day with or against

I was walking over the main street in my city and what caught my eyes were all those advertisings over here and there pushing ignorant people to buy gifts and celebrate valentine's day, this day has nothing to do with love but all is about purchasing! I am not against celebrating love day , but I dislike all this festivity and all this materialism, I think those who celebrate valentine's aren't concerned with their feeling as much as they are concerned with showing what they have or what they are living for their relatives and friends, so a woman when she will get a gift from her husband she will tell her friends that he loves her and the gift is a proof! since ages lovers hide their love because it is an intimate feeling, today everyone try to count how many girls or women he or she has know, nothing about quality and everything about quantity

hi all, well, as the name of this day indicates "saint valentine's day" ,we as muslims have nothing to do with it, this is completely christian belief, in addition to that, we dont need a day for love all our days are full of love of each other
love and peace for you all and for all the time

I am not interested in that day, once I was in a market and I didn't know even that it was valentine's day, a man passed with some red roses in hand, and some young boys were laughing at him, he looks rediculouse because nothing have to do with our set-mind

zwith coz it is occasion to express our fellings to the persons we love mother father brother and to those who we cann't tell him so as a reminder I agree with it but as foreign habit I 'm against coz there is no one from foreign counterie celebrate el mawlid or rass el sana or some thing like that

Hi everybody....I just want to say thank you sir or Miss about your topic what I want to say is that Valantine is not an aspect of our culture as muslims we are muslims and our religion is strict and pure and clear regarding to these foolish things the valantine day is about a person I think who was killed in America or I don't know for being in love or something like that so my answer is I'm against ..........If we want to love we don't need a special day to express our love to others so thank you brothers and sisters.

aproximately muslims don't celebrate the day of MAWLID NABAWI CHARIF not all of them but they don't prepare their selves on this day like 14 feb

فضيلة الشيخ محمد بن صالح العثيمين حفظه الله
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته وبعد
فقد انتشر في الآونة الأخيرة الاحتفال بعيد الحب ــ خاصة بين الطالبات ــ وهو عيد من أعياد النصارى ، ويكون الزي كاملاً باللون الأحمر الملبس والحذاء ويتبادلن الزهور الحمراء ..
نأمل من فضيلتكم بيان حكم الاحتفال بمثل هذا العيد ، وما توجيهكم للمسلمين في مثل هذه الأمور والله يحفظكم ويرعاكم . بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
ج / وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته .
الاحتفال بعيد الحب لا يجوز لوجوه :
الأول : أنه عيد بدعي لا أساس له في الشريعة .
الثاني : أنه يدعو إلى العشق والغرام
الثالث: أنه يدعو إلي اشتغال القلب بمثل هذه الأمور التافهة المخالفة لهدي السلف الصالح رضي الله عنهم .
فــلا يــحـل أن يحدث في هذا اليوم شيء من شعائر العيد سواء كان في المآكل أو المشارب أو الملابس أو التهادي أو غير ذلك وعلى المسلم أن يكون عزيز بدينه ولا يكون إمَّــعَــةً يتبع كل ناعق . أسأل الله تعالى أن يعيذ المسلمين من كل الفتن ما ظهر منها وما بطن وأن يتولانا بتوليه وتوفيقه .
