Islam And Respect For Humanity
All children born in this world are equal by birth on account of their being human beings. None of them is rich or poor, high caste or low caste, officer of servant. But these differences are brought into being soon after birth. Everybody shall try to take care of rich parents child but few shall try even to look at a child born in a poor house. A child born inside the room of a bungalow and the other one born in the servant quarters of the same bungalow become differentiated immediately after birth. All shall pay respect to the child of an officer but shall rebuke the child of a servant. It is no fault of any one child to take birth in a poor house and it is no virtue of any other child to take birth in a rich family. Thus it is unjust to differentiate one from the other. Similarly it is absolutely a wrong attitude to distinguish between people as one of low caste and the other of high caste.
Allah has said: We have honoured humanity as a whole. (17/70)
Therefore all human beings belonging to any country, nation or race, speaking any ******** having been born in a rich or poor family and belonging to any religion are equal and worth of respect. Then what is the criterian of one's position in a society? The Quran says: And to all are (assigned) degrees according to the deeds (which they have done). (46/19)
One who does good deeds is more respectable than the one who does bad deeds. On the other hand one who performs good deeds, if he begins to do bad deeds, his position in the society shall be lowered. Similarly the one who does bad deeds if he begins to do good deeds, his position shall be gradually raised in the society. Thus one's position in the society shall be in proportion to the quality of his deeds. The Quran says: The most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is the one who is more obedient to the laws of Allah Almighty. (49/13)
Most of the people attach more importance to boys as compared with the girls and men are considered superior to women. This is a bad thing. According to the Holy Quran men and women are all human beings, equal to each other by birth and equally worth of respect. As said earlier, the criterion of respect and of being high or low among all human beings, men as well as women is the quality of their deeds.

Sayings of the Prophet**PEACE BE UPON HIM**0
Beauty
Muhammad **PEACE BE UPON HIM**said, "That person will not enter Paradise who hath one atom of pride in his heart." And a man present said, "Verily, a man is fond of having good clothes, and good shoes." Muhammad said, "God is Beauty and delighteth in the beautiful; but pride is holding man in contempt."
Begging
Every man who shall beg, in order to increase his property, God will diminish it.
Verily God loveth a Muslim with a family, who is poor, and witholdeth himself from the unlawful and from begging.
Who open to himself the door of begging, God will open unto him the door of poverty.
Verily it is better for any of you to take your rope and bring a bundle of wood upon your back and sell it, in which case God guardeth your honor than to beg of people, whether they give or not; if they do not give, your reputation suffereth, and you return disappointed; and if they give, it is worse than that, for it layeth you under obligation.
Whoever hath food for a day and a night, it is prohibited for him to beg.
Verily it is not right for the rich to ask, nor for a strong, robust person; but it is allowed for the indigent and the infirm. "May I beg from people, O Messenger of God, when necessitous?" Muhammad said, "Do not beg unless absolutely compelled, then only from the virtuous."

TATOOZ IN ISLAM, answers A Group of Islamic Researchers
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
Dear brother, we commend your eagerness to become well acquainted with Islam and its teachings, which is the way Allah has chosen for the welfare of His servants.
As for your question, you have to keep in mind the fact that body piercing, tattooing, branding, etc. all fall in the category of unnecessary interference, alteration and mutilation of ALLAH’s creation. Therefore, no Muslim, who is conscious of his religion, should ever contemplate such activities.
In his well-known book, The Lawful and the Prohibited in Islam, the prominent Muslim scholar, Sheik Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, states:
“Islam denounces excesses in beautifying oneself when it alters the physical features that Allah created him with. The Glorious Qur'an considers such alterations as inspired by Satan, who "...will command them (his devotees) to change what Allah has created...” (An-Nisa': 119)
Tattooing is one of those excesses. The Messenger of ALLAH (Peace and blessings be upon HIM) is reported to have cursed the tattooer and the tattooed. (Reported by Muslim)
Tattooing permanently disfigures the face and other parts of the body with colored pigment and repulsive designs. Some Arabs, especially women, are in the habit of tattooing large areas of their bodies. People of certain religious sects tattoo pictures of their deities or religious rituals on their hands and chests. The pain and agony that the person experiences from the needles piercing skin add to these images. Because of all of this, both the tattooer and the one who is tattooed have been cursed.”

Hope you are all well and in the best of Health and Imaan InshAllah
I wrote this a few days ago...something I was inspired to do by another Dua which I read sometimes.
Oh Allah I thank you for today
Oh Allah I am blessed because you are forgiving and understanding
Oh Allah you have done so much for me and you keep on blessing me
Oh Allah forgive me for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you
Oh Allah I ask you now for your forgivness
Oh Allah keep me safe from all danger and harm
Oh Allah help me to start this day with plenty of gratitude
Oh Allah please broaden my mind so that I can accept all things
Oh Allah let me not whine and whimper over things that I have no control over
Oh Allah let me contine to see sin through youe eyes and acknowledge it as evil
Oh Allah when I sin, let me repent and seek your forgivness
Oh Allah when this world closes in on me let me find a quiet place to make Dua
Oh Allah when I am unable to make Dua, listen to my heart and contine to use me to do your will
Oh Allah contine to bless me as I may be a blessing to others
Oh Allah keep me strong that I may help the weak
Oh Allah keep me uplifted as I may have words of encouragment for others
Oh Allah I make Dua for those that are lost and can't find their way
Oh Allah I make Dua for those that are misjudged and misunderstood

Women
Women are the twin halves of men.
The world and all things in it are valuable; but the most valuable thing in the world is a virtuous woman.
The best women are the virtuous; they are the most affectionate to infants, and the most careful of their husband's property.
When a woman performeth the five times of prayer, and fasteth the month of Ramadan, and is chaste, and is not disobedient to her husband, then tell her to enter Paradise by whichever door she liketh.
Verily a great number of women are assembled near my family, complaining of their hubands; and those men who ill-treat their wives do not behave well. He is not of my way who teacheth a woman to stray.
Asma, daughter of Yazid, said, "Victuals were brought to Muhammad, and he put them before some of us women who were present, and said, 'Eat ye.' But notwithstanding we were hungry we said, 'We have no inclination.' Muhammad said, 'O woman! Do not mix hunger with lies.'"
Whoever doeth good to girls, it will be a curtain to him from hell-fire.
Whoever befriendeth two girls till they come of age, will be in the next world along with me, like my two fingers joining each other.
Whoever befriendeth three daughters, or three sisters, and teacheth them manners, and is affectionate to them, till they come of age, may God apportion Paradise for him.
Whoever hath a daughter, and doth not bury her alive or scold her, or prefer his male children to her, may God bring him into Paradise.
Shall I not point out to you the best of virtues? It is your doing good to your daughter when she is returned to you having been divorced by her husband.
God enjoins you to treat women well, for they are your mothers, daughters, aunts.
The rights of women are sacred. See that women are maintained in the rights assigned to them.
Do not prevent your women from coming to the mosque.

Islamic personalities
Abrahem Ibn Adaham
Abrahem Ibn Adaham once passed by the local market in his village and all the people knowing his piousness and his wisdom flocked around him asking " why doesn't God- when we supplicate - answer and fulfill our supplication ?"
He answered saying " Because your hearts have died ." , then they asked what deadened them .
He said : Ten sins made them dead , these are :
1- you have known God rights but you do not give Him His rights
2- you are reciting the Holy Quran but you don't adhere to its percepts
3- you are claiming the love of the prophet but you do not follow his sunna
4- you have said the paradise is true but you do not do righteous things to enter it.
5- you have said the hellfire is true but you do not do things to escape it.
6- you know the path of the right and truth but you reject it.
7- you have known the invalid wicked way but you still fallow.
8- you have confessed that the devil is your enemy though you don't take him as an enemy and moreover you still obey him.
9- you have buried many of your dead relatives but yet you haven't learnt the lesson yet (that all people will die)
10- you eat God's sustenance and you don't give the due thanks and you have occupied yourselves with people's flaws but forget yours .

shaking hands with a non-mahram woman
mahram-some1 that a women is not allowed to marry e.g father, brother
This is one case where incorrect social customs have taken precedence over the laws of allah, to such an extent that if u try to talk to people and show them evidence that this custom is islamically wrong, they will accuse you of being backward, having a complex, trying to break family ties, doubting their good intentions, and so on.
Shaking hands with female cousins {depends what gender u are, man is not allowed to shake female cousins hands and vice versa}, brothers wives or husbands and uncles wives or husbands, {again, depends on what gender u are, not allowed to shake hands of opposite sexes of the people stated} is now easier than drinking water in our society. However, a careful look at the Islamic texts will highlight the seriousness of this matter.
The Prophet said: "If one of u were to be stabbed in the head with an iron needle it would be better for him than touching a woman whom he is not permitted to touch."
The Prophet said" i do not shake hands with a woman". Aishah said:"No, by allah, the hand of the prophet never touched the hand of a non-mahram woman. He reveived bay'ah{pledge of allegiance} from them by the word only"
It should be notes that placing a barrier sucha as a piece of cloth or gloves is of no use, as the rule of prohibition still applies.

The Prohibition of Bribery
Taking a bribe is one way of consuming someone else's wealth wrongfully. A bribe refers to any kind of property which is offered to a judge or public servant in order to obtain a decision in favor of oneself or against a rival, to expedite one's own affair, or to delay that of one's competition, and so on.
Islam has prohibited the Muslim to approach the officials of a government or their subordinates for the purpose of offering them a bribe; it has prohibited the latter to accept it; and it has prohibited that any third person should arrange matters between the givers and the takers of the bribe. Allah Ta'ala says: And do not consume your property among yourselves wrongfully, nor seek access to judges by means of it in order that you may sinfully consume a portion of peoples' wealth, while you know (what you do). (2:188)
The Prophet (peace be on him) said, "Allah's curse is on the one who offers the bribe and on the judge who accepts it." (Reported by Ahmad, al-Tirmidhi, and Ibn Hibban in his Sahih.)
Thawban said, The Messenger of Allah (peace be on him) cursed the one who offers the bribe, the one who receives it, and the one who arranges it. (Reported by Ahmad and al-Hakim.)
If the recipient of the bribe accepts it in order to do injustice, his sin is the greater, while if he intended to do justice, it was his simple duty for which no payment was needed.
The Prophet (peace be on him) sent 'Abdullah bin Rawahah to the Jews to estimate what they owed as taxes on their palm trees. The Jews offered him some money as a gift. He told them, "What you have offered as a bribe is haram and we do not accept it." (Reported by Malik)
It is not surprising that Islam has prohibited bribery and that it is severe against all those who participate in it. The proliferation of bribery in a society leads to corruption and oppression: unjust decisions are made and just ones are blocked, undeserving persons are given chances and deserving ones are passed over, and the spirit of greed permeates the society in place of the spirit of dutifulness.

10Facts about knowing Allah
1. Humans need to worship God, it is the purpose of their creation.
And I created not the Jinn and Mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone). (Qur'an, 51:56)
2. Allah is the same God who revealed Himself to the Biblical Prophets.
Their Messengers said: "What! Can there be a doubt about Allah, the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth?" (Qur'an, 14:10)
3. Allah is our Creator Who originated and maintains everything.
Were they created by nothing? Or were they themselves the creators? Or did they create the Heavens and the Earth? No, but they have no firm belief. (Qur'an, 52:35-36)
4. Precise proof of Allah is found in the quran.gif, we cannot see Him in this world.
And of knowledge, you (Mankind) have been given only a little. (Qur'an, 17:85)
5. The diverse Universe has been Created by Allah’s Intelligent Design.
How many a sign is there in the heavens and the earth, which they pass by with their faces turned away! (Qur'an, 12:105)
6. Allah’s Laws govern the Universe and all of creation praises Him.
The seven heavens and the Earth and all that is therein glorify Him, and there is not a thing but celebrates His praise, but you do not understand their praise. (Qur'an, 17:44)
7. Humans are born with an in-built, yet corruptible knowledge of Allah.
"Every child is born with an innate disposition (Fitrah), but his parents turn him into a Jew or Christian. It is like when an animal gives birth to normal offspring; have you noticed any (young animal) born branded (mutilated with the mark of its owners) before they are branded?" (Hadith)
8. Humans instinctively turn to Allah in times of need.
And when a calamity touches man, he calls to his Lord, turning repentant to Him. Then, when He grants him a favor from Himself, he forgets that for which he called to Him before, and sets up partners as rivals to Allah. (Qur'an, 39:8)
9. Allah, our Maker, Knows best how we can function properly.
Verily, We have created man out of drops of mixed sexual discharge, in order to try him: so We made him to hear and to see. Verily, We showed him the way, whether he be grateful or ungrateful. (Qur'an, 76:2-3)
Should He not know what He created? (Qur'an, 67:14).
10. Allah Guides to Islam who He likes as a blessing.
Wherewith Allah guides all those who seek His Good Pleasure to ways of peace and He brings them out of darkness alhamdulilahby His Will into light and guides them to the Straight Way (Islamic Monotheism). (Qur'a n, 5:16)
May Allah reward you for reading inshalah.

Ten Oppressors
Sufyan ath-Thauri (may Allah have mercy on him) said that ten
people are regarded as oppressors:
The person who prays for himself, but forgets his parents and other believers.
The person who does not recite at least a hundred verses of the Holy Quran daily.
The person who leaves the Masjid (mosque) without performing at least two units of Salah.
The person who passes a graveyard without greeting the deceased or praying for them.
The person who enters a city on Friday and leaves without performing the Friday prayer.
The man or woman in whose vicinity a learned person comes and none acquires any religious knowledge from him.
Those two people who love each other for the pleasure of Allah but are unaware of each others names.
The person who is invited by another, but does not accept his invitation (when acceptance does not contradict the Shariah).
The youngster that has no commitments yet does not acquire any religious knowledge or manners.
The person who has eaten to his fill while his neighbor goes hungry.

The Concept of Faith (Iman)
``*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*``
The Arabic word 'Iman', which we have rendered in English as faith, literally means 'to know', 'to believe' and 'to be convinced beyond the least shadow of doubt'. Faith, thus is firm belief arising out of knowledge and conviction. And the man who knows and reposes unshakable belief in the Unity of God, in His Attributes, in His Law and the Revealed Guidance, and in the Divine Code of Reward and Punishment is called 'Mu'min' (faithful).
Some people may think that man becomes a Muslim when he confesses belief in the Oneness of the True God and Muhammad as His Last Messenger. But this is far from the full meaning of Faith. The full meaning of Faith in Islam is not, by any means, something nominal or mere formality. Faith in Islam is a state of happiness acquired by virtue of position action and constructive conceptions as well as dynamic and effective measures. The Holy Qur'an and the Traditions of Muhammad define these required measures and establish the standards which build up a meaningful Faith. Thus, the true believers are:
1. Those who believe in God, His angels, His Books as completed by the Qu'ran, His messengers with Muhammad being the Last of them all, the Day of Final Judgment, the absolute knowledge and wisdom of God.
2. Those who trust God always and enjoy unshakable confidence in Him.
3. Those who spend in the way od God of what He has given them in the form of wealth, life, health, knowledge, experience, and so on.
4. Those who observe their daily prayers regularly as well as the weekly and annual congregations.
5. Those who pay their religious taxes (alms or Zakah) to the rightful beneficiaries (individuals or institutions), the minimum of which is two and a half percent of the annual 'net' income, or of the total value of stocks if in business-after discounting all expenses and credits.
6. Those who enjoin the right and good and combat the wrong and evil by all lawful means at their disposal.
7. Those who obey God and His Messenger Muhammad; and feel increasing strength of faith when the Qur'an is recited, and humility of heart when God's name is mentioned.
8. Those who love God and His Messenger most, and love their fellow men sincerely for the sake of God alone.
9. Those who love their near and distant neighbours and show genuine kindness to their guests, especially the strangers.
10. Those who say the truth and engage in good talk, or else abstain.
It is clear that the very meaning of Faith makes Islam penetrate deeply and constructively into every aspect of Life. According to Islam, true Faith has a decisive effect on the spiritual and material lot of man, and also on his personal and social behavior as well as his politics conduct and financial life. To show how the Qur'an describes the true believers, here is an example. The Qur'an contains numerous references like these:
"They only are the true believers whose hearts feel submissive (and humble) when God is mentioned; and when the revelations of God are recited unto them, they (the revelations) increase and strengthen their Faith; and who trust in their Lord, establish the prayer (as enjoined on them) and spend of what We have bestowed on them (in the cause of God). Those are they who are in truth believers. For them are (high) grades (of honor) with their Lord, and a bountiful provision." (Qur'an, 8:2-4)

[Ramadan is approaching
SIZE="5"]What are the practical steps that can be taken by Muslims to prepare themselves for this blessed month?
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
Allah Almighty says, (The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for mankind, and clear proofs of the guidance, and the Criterion (of right and wrong).) (Al-Baqarah 2: 185)
Every Muslim should prepare himself to welcome the blessed month of Ramadan by strengthening his relationship with the Qur’an, busing himself with the spirit of fasting, and recharging his spiritual battery to prepare himself to make the whole blessed month of Ramadan a real occasion of sincere obedience
Ramadan is an event that occurs in the life of the faithful, as individuals and as an Ummah, once a year. It is intended by Allah to help us to recharge our spiritual batteries and thus prepare us for the great mission of realizing His will on earth. Therefore, in order to benefit from Ramadan, we may do well to prepare for it by opening our hearts and minds to embrace it. Let me offer a few tips:
1. We should empower ourselves by learning as much as we can about the precise laws as well as the benefits of fasting.
2. We should ensure that we gain true benefits from our fasting, let us make sure to realize the spirit of fasting: this can only be done by abstaining, not only from food, drink, and sex, but also by strictly restraining our minds, hearts as well as our eyes, ears, hands, tongue, and so on.
3.We must embrace the spirit of fasting as stressed in Hadith: to be charitable and compassionate as much as we can.
4. We should strengthen our relationship with the Qur’an; for Ramadan is the month of the Qur’an.
5. We should engage in dhikr and condition ourselves to make it second nature.
6. Last but not least, we should build up our community through acts of charity and compassion and extending help to those in need as much as we can.
Let us pray that we come out of Ramadan with our faith recharged, gaining strength in our faith and commitment and relationship with Allah.[/SIZE]

Riya (showing off), 1 of tha great sins
Praise be to Allaah.
Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen said:
Showing off may affect worship in three ways:
1 – When the basic motive for worship is to be seen by others, such as one who stands and prays so that people will see him, and so that they will praise him for his prayers. This invalidates the act of worship.
2 – When it is a factor that develops during the act of worship, i.e., if the worshipper is initially sincere in his intention towards Allaah, then the idea of showing off develops whilst he is doing it. In this case one of the following two scenarios must apply:
(i) There is no connection between the first part of his act of worship and the last part, so the first part is valid in all cases, and the last part is invalid.
For example: a man has one hundred riyals that he wants to give in charity, so he gives fifty of them in a sincere act of charity. Then the idea of showing off develops with regard to the remaining fifty. So the first was a sound and accepted act of charity, but the last fifty was an invalid act of charity because the sincerity was mixed with a desire to show off.
(ii) The first part of the act of worship is connected to the last part, in which case one of the following two scenarios must apply:
(a) He wards off the idea of showing off and does not give in to it, rather he turns away from it and hates it. This does not have any effect on him, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah has forgiven my ummah for what crosses their minds, so long as they do not act upon it or speak of it.”
( When he gives in to this idea of showing off and does not ward it off. In this case the entire act of worship becomes invalid, because the first part is connected to the last part. For example, he starts the prayer with a sincere intention towards Allaah, then the idea of showing off develops in the second rak’ah, so the entire prayer becomes invalid because the first part is connected to the last part.
3 – The idea of showing off develop after the act of worship has ended. This does not affect it or invalidate it, because it has been completed soundly, so if showing off occurs after that it does not affect it.
It is not showing off if a person feels happy that the people come to know about his worship, because this developed after he has finished the act of worship.
It is not showing off if a person feels happy because he has done an act of worship, because that is a sign of his faith. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever feels happy because of his good deeds and sad because of his bad deeds, that is the believer.”
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) was asked about that and said: “That is the first glad tidings of the believer.”

Signs of a Good End
The Prophet (peace be upon him.) said, "A Muslim who is killed in a battle is a martyr, (dying in) plague is martyrdom, a woman who dies while delivering a baby is a martyr." (Ahmad, Daarimee, Tiyaalisee, authenticated by Al-Albaanee)
The Prophet (p.b.u.h.) said, "The martyrs are seven, other than the one who is killed in the Way of Allaah, Ta'aalaa:
- one who dies of plague,
- one who drowns,
- one who dies of pleurisy,
- one who dies of stomachache,
- one who dies due to burning
- one who dies under a demolition (by accident)
- a woman who dies with a baby in her womb."
(Maalik, Aboo Dawood, An-Nasaaee, Ibn Maajah, Ibn Hibban, Haakim, Ahmad. Authenticated by al-Albaanee)
The Prophet (p.b.u.h.) said: "Getting killed in the Path of Allaah Ta'aalaa is martyrdom,
- (death in) confinement during childbirth is martyrdom,
- (death by) getting burned (by accident) is martyrdom,
- (death by) drowning (by accident) is martyrdom,
- (death due to) tuberculosis is martyrdom,
- (death due to) stomachache is martyrdom."

Question: What is Ramadan?
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar. Every day during this month, Muslims around the world spend the daylight hours in a complete fast.
Answer: During the blessed month of Ramadan, Muslims all over the world abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs during the daylight hours. As a time to purify the soul, refocus attention on God, and practice self-sacrifice, Ramadan is much more than just not eating and drinking.
Muslims are called upon to use this month to re-evaluate their lives in light of Islamic guidance. We are to make peace with those who have wronged us, strengthen ties with family and friends, do away with bad habits -- essentially to clean up our lives, our thoughts, and our feelings. The Arabic word for "fasting" (sawm) literally means "to refrain" - and it means not only refraining from food and drink, but from evil actions, thoughts, and words.
During Ramadan, every part of the body must be restrained. The tongue must be restrained from backbiting and gossip. The eyes must restrain themselves from looking at unlawful things. The hand must not touch or take anything that does not belong to it. The ears must refrain from listening to idle talk or obscene words. The feet must refrain from going to sinful places. In such a way, every part of the body observes the fast.
Therefore, fasting is not merely physical, but is rather the total commitment of the person's body and soul to the spirit of the fast. Ramadan is a time to practice self-restraint; a time to cleanse the body and soul from impurities and re-focus one's self on the worship of God

Q. What is the wisdom behind the obligation of fasting?
A. If we read the Words of Allah, the Most High; “ O you who believe! Observing As-Saum (the fasting) is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become Al-Muttaqun.” [ Surah Al-Baqarah ]
Al-Muttaqun comes from the word Taqwa, and Taqwa means to abandon unlawful deeds, and without exception, it includes doing whatever Allah has commanded and abstaining from what He has forbidden. The Prophet Muhammad (saw) said; “ Whoever does not give up lying speech, (false statements) and acting upon them (i.e telling lies), and evil deeds, and behaving in an ignorant evil way, and speaking bad words to others, then Allah is not in need of his (fasting) leaving his food and drink.” [ Al-Bukhari]
Based upon this, the obligation upon the fasting person to undertake the obligatory deeds and abstain from the unlawful is confirmed, both in word and deed. So, he should not backbite people, nor should he lie, nor should he spread gossip among them, nor should he sell unlawful things, and he should avoid all unlawful deeds. If a person does this, for a whole month, his soul will be upright for the rest of the year.
But unfortunately, many fasting people do not distinguish between the days they fast, and the days they are not fasting. They behave according to their usual custom, leaving what is obligatory upon them and committing what is unlawful for them, and one does not sense the solemnity of a fasting in him. While these deeds do not invalidate his fasting, they reduce reward, and possibly, on the Day when deeds are weighed, these sins will outweigh the reward of his fasting, and he will lose the benefit of it.

Question:
When Islam is against idol worship why do the Muslims worship, and bow
down to the Kaaba in their prayer?
Answer:
Kaaba is the Qibla i.e. the direction Muslims face during their
prayers. It is important to note that though Muslims face the Kaaba during
prayers, they do not worship the Kaaba. Muslims worship and bow to none
but Allah.
It is mentioned in Surah Baqarah:
[Al-Qur’an 2:144]
"We see the turning of thy face (for guidance) to the heavens: now
shall We turn thee to a Qiblah that shall please thee. Turn then thy face
in the direction of the Sacred Mosque: wherever ye are, turn your faces
in that direction."
1. Islam believes in fostering unity
2. Kaaba is at the Centre of the World Map
Tawaaf around Kaaba for indicating one God3- 0
4. Hadith of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)
Regarding the black stone, hajr-e-aswad, there is a hadith (tradition),
attributed to the illustrious companion of the Prophet Muhammed), (PEACE BE UPON HIM ))
Umar (may Allah be pleased with him).
According to Sahih Bukhari, Volume 2, book of Hajj, chapter 56, H.No.
675. Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said,
"I know that you are a stone and can neither benefit nor harm. Had I
not seen the Prophet (PEACE BE UPON HIM )) touching (and kissing) you, I would never
have touched (and kissed) you".
5. People stood on Kaaba and gave the adhaan
At the time of the Prophet (PEACE BE UPON HIM )), people even stood on the Kaaba and gave the
‘adhaan’ or the call to prayer. One may ask those who allege that
Muslims worship the Kaaba; which idol worshipper stands on the idol he
worships?

Jannah
When Mu'min enters into Jannah, it will be announced:-
You will remain healthy forever, disease will never come.
You will remain alive for ever, death will never come.
You will remain in bounties which will never be finished.
Jannat is made with bricks of gold and silver, Its cement is of perfumed musk. Its chips are pearls and Yaqoot. Its sand is Zafraan.
There are eight doors of Jannah. these are eight grades of Jannat :
i) Jannatul Mava
ii) Darul Maqaam
iii) Darul Salaam
iv) Darul Khuld
v) Jannat-ul-Adan
vi) Jannat-ul-Naeem
vii) Jannat-ul-Kasif
viii) Jannat-ul-Firdous
Food of Jannah
They will eat foods and fruits continuously up to 40 years. Every bowl will have a new taste. They will take eructation which will digest the food and there will be perfumed sweating for the digestion of water. There will be no urine and stool.
Garden of Jannat
There will be gardens in Jannah. Every garden will have the length of about 100 years journey. The shadow of these gardens will be very dense.
Their plants will be free of thorns. The size of their leaves will be equal to ears of elephants. Their fruits will be hanging in rows.
Jannatul Mava is in the lowest, Jannat-ul-Adan is the middle and Jannat-ul- Firdous is on the highest. Those who-love each other for the sake of Allah, will get a pillar of Yaqoot, on which there will be seventy thousand (70,000) rooms. These will shine for the residents of Jannah as the sun shines for the residents of Duniya.
There will be rooms in Jannah in such a way that every room will have seventy thousands (70,000) dinning sheets. On every dinning sheet 70,000 types of foods will be served.
For their service 80,000 young boys will be moving around looking like beautiful scattered pearls.
One bunch of dates will be equal to the length of 12 arms. The size of a date will be equal to the big pitcher. These will be whiter than milk, sweater than honey and softer than butter and free from seeds. The stem of these plants will be made up of gold and silver.
There will also be gardens of grapes. The bunches of grapes will be very big. The size of a single grape will be equal to a big pitcher (pot). Someone asked, Ya Rasulullah Sallalahu alaihi wasallam: will it be sufficient for me and my family. It was answered, it will be sufficient for you and your whole tribe.
The Dresses of Jannat
The dress of Jannah will be very beautiful. One will wear 70 dresses at a time.
These will be very fine, delicate, weightless, having different colors.
These dresses will be so fine that the body even the heart will be visible. And the waves of love in the hearts will also be visible. These dresses will never become old, never be dirty and will never tear.
There will be four canals in every Jannah. They are of water, milk, honey and Sharabun Tahoora. There will also be three fountains in Jannah. (i) Kafoor. (ii) Zanjabeel. (iii) Tasneem
Qualities of People of Jannah
In Jannah, height of every Mo'min, will be equal to the height of Hazrat Adam Alaihissalaam = 60 arms (90 feet).
Beauty will be like that of Hazrat Yousuf Alaihissalaam
Age of youth will be like that of Hazrat Esa Alaihissalaam (30-33 years).
Sweetness of voice will be like that of Hazrat Dawud Alaihissalaam.
Tolerance will be like that of Hazrat Yaqoob Alaihissalaam
Patience will be like that of Hazrat Ayyub Alaihissalaam.
Habits will be like that of Sayyadina Muhammad Sallalahu alaihi wasallam.
If a person makes Du'a for Jannah three times, Jannah requests Allah
that O, Allah; make his entry into Jannah. And if a person makes Du'a
for safety from Jahannum three times, the Jahannnum requests Allah that, O, Allah; save him from Jahannum.

So you don't like a person because he/she possesses some thing you imagine to be good that you don't have?
You feel 'sick' whenever you see him/her; hear people talking about him/her or even when you think of him/her while you are alone. This is because he/she is smarter or wealthier or more knowledgeable or intelligent or virtuous than you are. And you are not able to appreciate his/her unique talent or possession or popularity. And by your behavior you try to downgrade, avoid, or defame him/her, feel happy when he/she suffers a loss or is in a difficulty. But you hide this feeling inside yourself. Do you know that this condition is a sickness of soul and heart and it also harms your physical health is called as Envy, Destructive Jealousy (Hasad)?
Hasad (destructive jealousy) is among the most destructive emotions or feeling which a man may have towards his fellow human being. It causes him to wish evil for others and to be happy when misfortune befalls them. On the other hand, what Islam permits in contrast to Hasad (destructive jealousy) is Ghibtah (envy that is free from malice), which means neither loving the loss of the blessing nor hating for it to remain with the person, but desiring the same for oneself without the removal of the blessing from others.
The Prophet of Allah (SWT) said: Beware of envy because indeed envy destroys good deeds in the same manner as fire destroys wood
Imam al-Baqir (as) said: Verily envy destroys faith like fire destroys wood
The Prophet of Allah (SWT) said: Envy appears to take over destiny
The Prophet of Allah (SWT) said: Allah (SWT) the Almighty said to Musa bin Imran (as), Oh son of Imran, don't be envious of what I have given to people from my grace and don't enchant your eyes with the blessings and don't put your soul in search of them, because the envious person is unhappy at my blessings that I have distributed among my servants

]Where Are Our Manners[/COLOR]?
As I crammed myself onto a crowded train this morning, I noticed there was a very pregnant woman standing near me, jammed in tightly and hanging on for dear life. I looked at the passengers sitting in the seats that are supposed to be surrendered to the elderly, physically challenged, and other people who need to sit, and all of them were listening to iPods. Most of them were also texting or reviewing email, one person was reading on a Kindle, and two people were watching movies. Not one of them even looked up; everyone was too absorbed in what they were listening to, reading, or watching to even notice the protruding belly and flushed face of the pregnant passenger.
Over the past few years, there have been countless discussions on minding our manners within our new modes of communication. Is it rude to text someone and ask him on a date? When is it appropriate to forward an email? Do we befriend someone on a social networking site we’ve only met once?
But while we’ve been debating the dos and don’ts of technology etiquette, it appears that many of us have forgotten some of the old school manners that our parents, grandparents, and teachers taught us—manners that have nothing to do with a keyboard or a monitor, but have everything to do with the long-forgotten Golden Rule. Maybe technology has eroded our brains so much that we can never go back to those golden days, but there are a few simple courtesies that I’d like to see make a comeback.
Hold doors for people.
This doesn’t just mean men holding doors for women—anyone who has the arm strength to hold a door for someone should. Holding a door shows that we’re paying attention to what’s going on around us and that we care about others even if they’re a complete stranger. That little bit of awareness also helps take our minds off the busy, crappy day we might be having. Plus, it’s a nice and unexpected way to pay it forward, kind of like smiling at a stranger. Hold the door for someone and someone else will hold it for you later.
Give up seats.
. “Giving up your seat to someone is so easy. Even when people don’t accept your offer, I think it’s nice to get up and stay standing so they know you’re sincere. The more that we become the good example, the more it will catch on.”
Most of us were taught that it’s good manners to give up our seat to the elderly, pregnant, and physically challenged. But if we pay attention on trains, buses, in waiting areas, and other places where people stand, we might notice someone else outside those categories who could also use a seat—like someone carrying a bulky box or a heavy load of groceries. Common sense should prevail; if you see a situation where you think you’d prefer to sit, it’s a good idea to offer your seat.
Let those inside the elevator exit before you enter.
You know the scene. The elevator doors open and a crowd of people waiting to get on rushes toward you, making it difficult to get out. Post says the onus of politeness falls on those waiting for an elevator, meaning they should clear the exit path for anyone getting off and not enter the elevator until it’s clear. She also recommends that waiting until all people exit is a good rule to follow before entering anything—restaurants, shops, dressing rooms, etc.
Mind your telephone manners.
Now that we can take our phones anywhere and use them to do scores of things beyond just making telephone calls, our problems have spiraled out of control. Obnoxious ringtones, picking up calls in public places, sending a text message when a call would be more appropriate, and subjecting innocent bystanders to inappropriate conversations are just a few common telephone missteps.
But Post says that many of our phone snafus could be corrected if we’d follow one simple rule. “Excusing yourself to take a phone call in a private place is something I’d like to see more of. We’re so used to people being on the phone now that this isn’t a common practice anymore.” But what if we we’re in a place where we can’t step out to take a call? Post recommends to keep it brief and to keep the conversation appropriate. “Making plans is okay,” she says. “[But] if you’re gossiping, talking badly about someone, or saying something inappropriate, those should be closed-door conversations.”
Introduce people.
. This is often a sign that the person who should do the introductions has forgotten a name, which makes a great case for simply asking the person in question to tell you their name again. It also proves that introducing someone with some details and flair makes a difference; the person on the receiving end of the introduction will have more information to use when committing a name to memory.
Say please, thank you, and you’re welcome.
It sounds simple, but the magic words really do work magic. Using them shows our appreciation for what someone is about to do or has done for us. Says Post, “Pretty much everyone says thank you, which is fantastic. But I would love to hear more people use ‘please’ and ‘you’re welcome.’ If I say ‘thank you’ back to you and not ‘you’re welcome,’ that’s overriding your ‘thank you.’” Our moms weren’t just being cute when they told us we would catch more flies with honey. “Please,” “thank you,” and “you’re welcome” are some of the sweetest—and most useful—words in our ********.
[Respect elders]
Recently someone I know well surprised me by saying that he thought respecting our elders was a silly courtesy since not everyone deserves to be respected just because of his or her age. Touché. But how about simply showing them civility and common courtesy? An elder is, by definition, someone who has lived longer than we have, so they’ve accumulated more experiences and thus, more wisdom. We don’t have to agree with their wisdom, but acknowledging that there might be some helpful information that comes from their experience is nice. It’s also considerate to express gratitude to a related elder who helped pave the way and/or care for you or a family member who came before you, such as a mother or uncle.
Handwrite thank-you notes.
Paper correspondence in general seems to be a dying practice and unfortunately, handwritten thank-you notes are part of the casualties. I know I’m often guilty of sending a thank-you email when I’m pressed for time, which seems to have made its way on the list of accepted practices. But it’s that taking of time that really shows our appreciation. Anyone can send an email, but finding a nice piece of stationery or note card, handwriting our thanks, finding a stamp (who has those anymore?), and then getting to a mailbox to actually send it goes above and beyond in expressing our gratitude.
Sophisticated technology doesn’t mean that good manners have to be a thing of the past. In fact, Post says she defines good manners using three simple, everyday principles: consideration, respect, and honesty. “Apply those to any situation and toward all the people involved—including yourself—and [the solution] will make sense.”

Sicknesses of the Ummah today & Quranic medicine
Renowned scholar of the 20th century Bediuzzaman Said Nursi in his famous Damascus sermon had talked of 6 sicknesses facing the Muslim Ummah & prescribed their Quránic medicines. We reproduce a summary of his sermon in the form of a table.
Sicknesses of the Muslim Ummah
(1) The rising to life of despair and hopelessness in social life
(2 The death of truthfulness in social and political life
(3) Love of enmity
