here is the "Entry Assessment test" designed by the ministry of Education for the learners of the 4AM level
the teacher can tackle this since the beginning where he can evaluates the real level of his learners if they master the basis rules of English already taught during the previous three yearsof the Middle School
the teacher can spilt it into two hours then from it he can assess what his leaners are weak in
this should be done during the two or three weeks of the beginning of the shcool year
