Google warns of the risks associated with using artificial intelligence.
Artificial intelligence (AI) is already playing a major role in our lives, from self-driving cars to facial recognition and voice recognition. But the technology is not yet ready for “general release,” says Google CEO Sundar Pichai. In an interview with TechCrunch last week, Pichai said he was worried about the potential misuse of AI by bad actors who could use it to deceive or manipulate people. He also warned that we need more research into how such technology can be used responsibly before we see any dramatic changes on our smartphones or computers at home or work:
