The learners will read the texts of task 4 again to identify what type of reply each of them is. Encourage the learners to justify their answers. All the messages indicate acceptance. So encourage your learners to imagine how the letters of reply will start if they were refusals. Familiarise them with the following opening sentences. Refusals usually start as follows: I regret to inform you that … ( e.g., I cannot accept the position of… / I cannot offer you the position of…).
