There is no specific rule for that ,but concerning adjectives you can add ed for instance:educated

possibility=الامكانية
ability=القدرة

Something possible means that it may happen ,we use may to express possibility
ability= when we are able to do something ,we use can to express ability

Good luck

1) Morphology (words formation using suffixes)
In order to form a verb into a noun or an adjective there are specific suffixes to do it
Verb into Adjective
verb + less/ful/able/ible/ive/ed/ing

to hope - hopeful/hopeless
to help - helpful/helpless
to enjoy - enjoyable
to respect - respectable
to access - accessible
to attract - attractive
to Construct - constructive
to interest - interested / interesting
to shock - shocked / shocking

Verb into a noun
Verb + tion/sion/ment/

To communicate - communication
to expand - expansion
to amuse - amusement
To advertise - advertisement
to establish - establishment

2) possibility and ability

we can express possibility using the following modal verbs:
may - might - can - could

We can also express ability with the following modal verbs:
can - could

we can understand or realize the difference between them through the sense or the meaning of the sentence for example:

I can understand english / I can swim (possibility - i'm able to understand english and i'm able to swim)
Smoking can cause cancer (possibility - there is a possibility that smoking will cause cancer but it's not 100 % certain)

I hope you got it
What's your level please?
