You're an M2 student you should be independent trust yourself don't wait for anybody to tell you what to do common it's your study do what you think is suitable.
unfortunately I meself I've no idea about applied linguistics I can't help but don't wait the forum is completely deserted
search in goolge or in face-book pages maybe people willl help you there
