Peace be upon you

To plan is to to make plans, to have a specified intention, to think about something and prepare to do it..etc

I plan to go to Spain
Let's say: I am planning to go to Spain
Because the action of planning is done in a progressive way, so it's better to use the present continuous

I am planning to go to Spain:

I = Subject
Am planning = Verb
To go to Spain = Direct Object

I want to propose another sentence:

Ahmed has sent me a message

Keep the snt as is it
no change
only plan instead of plane

sorry but your answer was wrong because the phrase "to go to spane" is not Direct O

Peace be upon you brother

You said you are just a beginner so please let's learn together
The verb to plan should be used in the present continuous because it takes a long time to plan something
Well, let's discuss the rest of the sentence
Here the question that we can can ask is: what are you planning
And the answer is: to go to Spain
I am planning something, and this thing is: to go to Spain
So it is a Direct Object
And to be more precise: it is a to infinitive clause, and it's function is Direct Object
If you have another explanation please discuss it with us
Allah bless you

Well my friend there's a misunderstanding
I'm speaking about functions whereas you're dealing with structure
You are right; there's an adverbial of place in this sentence
But if we speak about functions, it is included in the direct object
Ok let's say S-V-DO-A
Now who can analyse this sentence:

Ahmed has sent me a message

smart

I don't think that there is a mistake in this sentence

I think that is better to use the simple past....0
or Ahmed has just sent me a message..0

"so easy"

can you analyse the following snt :

why did Ahmed like to change things

why did Ahmed impose his opinion

Ahmed has sent me a message , so if I still have the message , it is prefered to say ahmed sent me a message (past) , and if I don't know that I've received it or no , I use the present continious , .. that what I think , like for example the difference between i lost my keys and I've lost my keys ... , am I mestaken ..?

Sorry, it is not enough to say Object - Object
We have many types of objects: Direct object, Indirect Object, Object Compliment... I am not saying they all exist in this sentence, but you should be clear and say what kind of Object we have here

من المتعارف عليه عند اهل القواعد الانجليزية ان SVOO تعني:

S + V + Indirect Object + Direct Object

That's great
So you are not beginner
Let's move to a higher level

Almost all right! Only one mistake: absent is a subject compliment of he
And I want to add something: "that he was absent" is a nominal that clause, and its function is direct object as you said
Thanks a lot
We are waiting for someone to propose a new sentence

Peace be upon you brothers

We also use the Present Perfect Tense to talk about a past action that has the result in the present.
Imagine I have just checked my inbox and said: Ahmed has sent me a message. It is because I don't know yet when the message was sent. If I knew when, I would use The Simple Past because when using this latter we need to mention the specific time, or at least to have it in mind.
Allah bless you
