لا يمكن فهم هذه الكلمة عند البعض إلا إذا قمنا بترجمتها إلى العربية مع الانتباه بأن لها عدة معان في اللغة العربية وهي : بسبب, نظرا لــ, بسبب ذلك’ لهذا السبب

اعلم أنه لا يجب أن نخلطها مع

فهته الكلمة لها معنى أخر ألا وهو : لأن

I was late because I forgot to set my alarm clock.

تأخرت لأنني نسيت أن أضبط الساعة المنبهة

عادة يتبعها فاعل + فعل


لاحظ الفرق

تأخرنا لأن السماء أمطرت

We were late because of the rain
تأخرنا بسبب المطر
