you can talk about the new world order!
the arabic spring
also you can probably talk about the kids kidnapping issue there is a topic going on there and you can take the members' opinions with consideration you can use them as a statystics
or you can always talk about how beautiful our country is!!!!!!!!!!!!
my advice choose a topic which makes you look smart and diligent in this case you won't just get nice scores you'll also earn your teatcher's respect :)

i did a research about Homosexuality and i was about to expelled because it was taboo subject , but i think lately people are open to talk about Homosexuality in our society
may be this wil work out as a title for your project: Homosexuality in Muslim society !!
