Hi,Maria

Concerning stress, here is a file, just read it and you'll understand

http://www.sendspace.com/file/q8pu9j

If you can't understand anything, ask me

Concerning syllables, bear in mind that we have a syllable whenever we have a vowel sound

Look

In the word big,we have one pronounced vowel which is the i.So,we have one syllable

In the word meat,we have two vowels but they make just one vowel sound. So,we have one syllable

In the word many,we have two vowels and each of them makes a vowel sound alone. So,we have

two syllables

In the word expensive,we have four vowels but the last one which is the "e"is not pronounced. So,there

are only three vowels which are pronounced. This means we have three syllables

Is it clear?

For the irregular verbs, you have to learn them by heart,at least the most frequent verbs

Concerning the intonation, just focus on the intonation in yes no questions and wh questions

Tag Questions

What you should know about the tag question that it is a short question put at the end of a statement

after a comma.you should also know that if the statement is affirmative, the tag question is negative

and if the statement is negative, the tag question is affirmative

Look at these examples

When the statement is affirmative

John is an excellent pupil, isn't he?

We are late,aren't we?

I live far from school,don't I?

Amina works hard,doesn't she?

When the statement is negative

I am not on time,am I?

She didn't come yesterday,did she?

The pupils won't start the exams tomorrow, will they?

He can't do it,can he?

Special cases حالات خاصة

I am........................................aren't I

Let's.........................................shal l we

order..........................................wil l you

examples

I am late,aren't I?

Let's do this activity,shall we?

Clean the board,will you?

Don't do that again,will you?

Well, might is the past of may but we use both of them to express uncertainty

might is less certain than may

They also express many things as you know. For example may expresses probability,permission;...........and might expresses remote possibility, warning, suggestion, option, and so on

I don't think you will be asked in the exam to write a story but you should know about that as well

First you should start with the setting I mean where and when the story happened. Then, you should be

careful to the plot I mean the events,of course using the past simple you have to order the events

It's better to end your story by a lesson.

In the word honest, there are two syllables

Children have rights and duties.
Children's right are :
they must go to school at the age of six old ;they have right to have a good health and they shouldn't work
they have leisures too for example playing games and practice sports .
finally i'll say that we must respect these rights because we're concerning about them....

!! Teacher this is really helpful , i never thought learning on internet to be this good
, I myself don't have any problems .
, In fact i wanted your opinion about a humble paragraph i did earlier while i was studying boring physics
since no one of my family was interested nor the understood and i couldn't reach my teacher this days .

Summer
I was walking on the hill near my house slowly , letting the summer breezes go through my hair locks , and facing the breathtaking sunset , and the stunning sky where the pale blue blended along with pale purple and orange , and some shining stars all over the place , it looked like a beautiful painting done by the great creator Allah , the only deference was that us the humans was a part of this great masterpiece .

Here both type one and type two because the tense is not clear

- The computer is a machine. It is used for giving information. in this we use that ??

Here we can use which or that. We use whose when we have a possessive case

example: The girl has fair hair. She is my sister

The girl whose hair is fair is my sister

Where we use " that '' & " whose " & " what's the deggrence between " who and whom "

how about " was able " and " wasn't able to " ?

We use was able to and were able to to say that someone managed to do something in the past.I mean something hard to do or impossible to do but he did it.

example: The exam was too difficult but my pupils were able to do it

May Allah rewards yoù my teacher !!

This is what I want

اي موضوع مثلا ممكن تكون من البرنامج
++++++++++++

I swim everyday in Summer

What do you do everyday in Summer?

لاحظي أن كلمة do الثانية تأخذ مكان الفعل

أما الإسم فذلك يتوقف على موضع الإسم في الجملة: فاعل أو مفعول.........

Both dissatisfied an unsatisfied can be used

We use who when the person is a subject

example

I will honour the pupils. The pupils will have good marks

Look at the word "the pupils" in the second part.It is a person subject. So, we use who

I'll honour the pupils who will have good marks

We use whom when the person is an object

example

The police will punish the thief. They caught the thief yesterday

Look at the word the thief in the second part.It is a person object. So,we use whom

The police will punish the thief whom they caught yesterday

j'ai pas compris !

"on a pas fait " whom " et " that ...

pouvez-vous réexpliquer ?
بالنسبة لــ الضمير whom في اللغة الإنجليزية ( الفصحى )

يكون إستخدامها كـــالتــالي:

1- Perposition + whom
بعد حروف الجر

مثال :

ََWith whom did you go ?
( مع من ذهبت )

To whom were you speaking?
( مع من كنت تتحدث)

اي بمعنى انه اذا سبقت بحرف جر (Prepostion) نستخدم whom

2- as object of a verb
ان تكون مفعول به لفعل مـا

مثال :

ًWhom did you strike?
( من ضَرَبتَ؟ )

ولكن الضمير whom قليل الإستخدام الآن حيث ان الدارج هو الضمير who الذي يحمل نفس المعنى

لاحظ انه لا يوجد فرق بين الجملتين :

A- ًWhom did you strike?
( من ضَرَبتَ؟ )

B- who did you strike?
( من ضَرَبتَ؟ )

المثال A ( إنجليزية فصحى )
المثال B ( إنجليزية عـــامة )

السؤال متى وكيف نفرق بين الإستخدام بين whom و who ?

whom عرفنا قبل قليل انها تكون مسبوقة بحرف جر (Prepostion)
وهنا لابد من إستخدامها
كما في المثالين :

ََWith whom did you go ?
( مع من ذهبت )

To whom were you speaking?
( مع من كنت تتحدث)

اما لو كانت مفعول به ..اتت في بداية الجملة - لم يسبقها حرف جر
وهنا نحن بالخيار , اما ان نستخدم whom او who
كما في المثالين :

A- ًWhom did you strike?
( من ضَرَبتَ؟ )

B- who did you strike?
