بالعربية معناهم بالرغم
for instance:although she is ill,she went to school
we can replace although with though because it expresses the same thing without changing the sentence ,but if we put in spite of or despite automatically after them we use a noun,pronoun(this,that,what...)or ING so if we apply on the sentence of although she is ill,she went to school
in spite of/despite her illness,she went to school
