Well, at first I want you enjoy your research journey. Iam sure enough that you will gain a lot as far you read and write. Concerning your interesting question, I personally believe that it is of a paramount importance to state your goals first i e you want deal with reading as a skill, which contributes to learners' progress in their ******** abilities or as a sequence very important in teaching. If you're interested in reading for learning English, then you need to devote the first chapters to defining reading, its importance to the learning process, its relation with the remaining skills. So, first locate your aims: teaching reading or learning through reading.
