hey dear
look
neither of the ways you mentioned is the right answer

you say everything IS right... the 'S' you wrote at the end of the word is a verb my sister, it's not part of the word

and in informal speech we say everything's right... I think that's why you're confused.. and I believe that's because you've only heard the word being spoken, not read it

you see the word 'everything' is not plural.. you're talking about every SINGLE thing... not about all the things together

so you use IS not ARE

I'm not so good at teaching I know... but I hope you understood what I wanted you to know

take care

peace

peace be upon you all
I 've read all the replies and I agreed with kiki
yeah brother you're right
No 's' of plural after "every""
We say for
ex:
every man
every day
every thing
every worker
and so on
hope that you get the point now
best of luck

"is it the same for the word "all
?
And

what is the rule for the similar

words

you see now.. 'all' is a different thing
because 'all' expresses the plural... you see it means that you're talking about the whole group of things/persons
so you must add the 's' at the end of the next word

ex: all persons in this room are students

you're always welcome, sister
anytime

now
some, most, little, few... all express plural
it's all about the meaning of the word
and they all mean a group of things/persons

ex: some people are so kind but others are unbearable
most students come late in our high school
little/few things did I know about that girl.. I totally misjudged her
