I love the works of gibrane khalil ....seriously who doesn't ?! the man is (present) an angelic legend i read alomst the integrality of them ...
the best book i read was "l'alchimist" or "the alchemist" ... & i didn't finish the collection of sherlock holmes to say if it's better than the alchemist but i think such a comparison is impossible cuz they r totally different

that's quite a loaded question and a very difficult one to answer
my "to read" list varies with my mood though lately I've been sucked into romance, paranormal, and highlander books.
I really liked the highlander series by Karen Marie Moning except for the second one, for some reason i couldn't finish it.
And than there is Donna Fletcher's books every time i read one of them it feels better than the one before it and I'm still under her spell.
But to label one book as "the best" I don't think I can do that there are simply too many of them for me to remember or to even choose one
