If you want to cut a relationship with a friend and this friend cares about you, but his presence hurt you what would you do

Before i answer your question honestly i couldn't do such thing especially if it was a friend ( male ).

but my answer any way is to try somehow to keep away from him/her but never say it directly because

it will be harsh for any human being .
